지난 12월 29일 서울시립미술관 세마홀에서 열린 ‘제4회 AoA 인터내셔널 어워드’에서 박 대표는 문화재단 분야 수상자로 선정됐다. 

2022년부터 시작된 이 시상식은 문화·예술 분야의 민간 시상식으로, 예술성과 사회적 기여를 함께 평가하는 점이 특징이다.

올해 시상은 오페라, 뮤지컬, 문학, 미술 등 총 25개 분야에서 진행됐다. 예심은 익명 온라인 심사 방식으로 이루어졌으며, 본심은 각 분야 전문가 30인의 투표를 통해 최종 수상자가 결정됐다. 

평가 항목에는 예술적 탁월성뿐 아니라 창작자의 태도와 윤리, 사회·문화적 공헌, 국제성, 그리고 공동체성 등이 포함됐다.

박 대표는 지역 현장을 중심으로 한 문화 활동을 통해 ‘문화가 곧 행복이 되는’ 철학을 실천해 왔다는 점과, ESG 경영을 문화재단 운영에 도입해 사회적 책임과 지속가능성을 강화한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다. 

특히 지역민의 삶의 질 향상과 문화예술 행정의 새로운 모델을 제시했다는 점이 수상 배경으로 꼽혔다.

이번 수상은 지방 문화재단의 운영 성과가 국제적 민간 평가를 통해 인정받았다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

문화 분야에서 ESG 경영이 실질적 운영 전략으로 정착된 사례로 평가되는 동시에, 지역 문화행정의 새로운 방향성을 제시한 점도 주목받고 있다.
