【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교가 일본의 명문 사립대학인 호세이대학교와 손잡고 한·일 사회복지 교육 협력 체계 구축에 나섰다.

대구대학교(총장 박순진)는 지난 1월 6일 경산캠퍼스 성산홀(본관) 1층 라운지 회의실과 지역사회복지기관에서 ‘대구대학교 사회복지학과–호세이대학교 현대복지학부 교육교류회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교류회에는 호세이대학교 현대복지학부 이와타 미타 학장을 비롯한 교수진 4명이 대구대를 방문해, 대구대 사회과학대학 사회복지학과 교수진 및 학생 대표들과 함께 학술·교육 교류 확대 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다.

양 대학은 이번 만남을 계기로 교수 및 학생의 실질적인 교류를 활성화하기 위해 올해부터 상호 방문을 정례화하기로 합의하고, 공동 교육 프로그램과 학술 협력 방안도 단계적으로 추진하기로 했다.

특히 일본 방문단은 안심종합사회복지관과 대구동구가족센터 등 지역사회 복지 현장을 직접 참관하며 한국의 복지 정책과 현장 실천 사례를 체험했다. 이를 통해 양국의 사회복지 제도와 실천 방식을 비교·이해하고, 향후 실무 중심의 교류와 공동 발전 가능성을 확인하는 의미 있는 시간을 가졌다.

김석주 대구대학교 사회복지학과장은 “이번 교류회를 계기로 일본 대학과의 학술 협력을 더욱 강화하고, 정기적인 학생 교류와 공동 연구를 통해 지속 가능한 국제 협력 모델을 구체화할 계획”이라며 “글로벌과 로컬 복지 이슈에 모두 능통한 전문 인재를 양성해 사회복지 분야의 국제 경쟁력을 선도하겠다”고 말했다.

대구대학교는 이번 교류를 시작으로 아시아권 사회복지 교육 네트워크를 확대하고, 현장 중심 국제 협력을 통해 실천 역량을 갖춘 글로벌 복지 인재 양성에 박차를 가할 방침이다.

Daegu University and Hosei University, Japan, Launch Korea-Japan Social Welfare Education Cooperation

Daegu University has joined forces with Hosei University, a prestigious private university in Japan, to establish a Korea-Japan social welfare education cooperation system.

Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin) announced that it held the "Daegu University Department of Social Welfare-Hosei University Department of Modern Welfare Education Exchange Meeting" on January 6th in the lounge conference room on the first floor of Seongsan Hall (Main Building) on ​​the Gyeongsan Campus and at a community welfare center.

At this meeting, four faculty members from Hosei University's Department of Modern Welfare, including Dean Mita Iwata, visited Daegu University and discussed in-depth ways to expand academic and educational exchanges with faculty and student representatives from the Department of Social Welfare in the College of Social Sciences at Daegu University.

Based on this meeting, the two universities agreed to regularize reciprocal visits starting this year to foster practical exchanges between faculty and students. They also agreed to gradually pursue joint educational programs and academic cooperation.

In particular, the Japanese delegation directly observed community welfare sites, such as the Ansim Community Welfare Center and the Daegu Dong-gu Family Center, experiencing Korean welfare policies and practical examples. This provided a meaningful opportunity to compare and understand the social welfare systems and practices of both countries and to identify potential for future practical exchanges and joint development.

Kim Seok-ju, Dean of the Department of Social Welfare at Daegu University, stated, "Through this exchange, we plan to further strengthen academic cooperation with Japanese universities and, through regular student exchanges and joint research, establish a sustainable international cooperation model. We will cultivate professionals well-versed in both global and local welfare issues, thereby leading the international competitiveness of social welfare."

Based on this exchange, Daegu University plans to expand its social welfare education network in Asia and accelerate the development of global welfare professionals equipped with practical skills through field-oriented international cooperation.
