【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구·경북 지역 유일의 창업중심대학인 대구대학교(총장 박순진)가 ‘캠퍼스 투 글로벌(Campus to Global) 일본연수 프로그램’을 운영하며 예비 창업 대학생들의 글로벌 창업 역량 강화에 나섰다.

대구대학교 창업지원단은 지난 1월 6일부터 9일까지 4일간 일본 도쿄 지역에서 대구·경북 지역 예비 창업 대학생 12개 팀, 24명이 참여한 가운데 해외 연수를 진행했다.

이번 프로그램은 스타트업 투자 전문회사 ㈜IPS벤처스와 협력해 해외 현지 시장에 대한 이해를 높이고, 예비 대학생 창업팀의 글로벌 진출을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다. 참가 학생들은 일본의 창업 생태계를 직접 체험하며 실질적인 글로벌 창업 경험을 쌓았다.

연수 기간 동안 학생들은 일본 시부야 스타트업 서포트를 방문하고, 일본 IT 기업 핀디(Findy.Inc)를 탐방했으며, 현지 한인 기업인과 창업 전문가의 특강을 통해 일본 창업 환경과 시장 동향에 대한 이해를 넓혔다.

특히 이번 연수에서는 한·일 IR 경진대회도 함께 열렸다. 대구대 예비 창업팀 3개 팀과 일본 현지 예비 창업팀 3개 팀이 참가해 각자의 사업 아이템을 발표하고 상호 의견을 교환하며 글로벌 창업 역량을 강화하는 시간을 가졌다.

이와 함께 대구대학교 창업지원단은 일본 현지 기업인 ‘SVS(Starsia Venture Studio)’와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 향후 글로벌 프로그램 참가와 멘토링 지원 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 확대해 나가기로 했다.

프로그램에 참여한 이성윤 학생(기계자동차공학부 기계공학전공 4학년)은 “현지 스타트업과 창업 지원 기관과의 교류를 통해 글로벌 창업에 대한 이해를 넓힐 수 있었다”며 “특히 일본 예비 창업가들과 함께한 경진대회가 인상 깊은 경험이었다”고 말했다.

이재현 대구대학교 창업지원단장은 “대구·경북 지역 유일의 창업중심대학으로서 학생들이 창업을 발판 삼아 국내를 넘어 글로벌 무대에서 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다”며 “지역 대학생들의 창업 도전을 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu University Operates "Campus to Global" Japan Training Program to Strengthen Global Entrepreneurship Capabilities

Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin), the only entrepreneurship-focused university in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk region, is launching the "Campus to Global" Japan Training Program to strengthen the global entrepreneurship capabilities of prospective university students.

The Daegu University Entrepreneurship Support Team conducted a four-day overseas training program in Tokyo, Japan, from January 6th to 9th. The program brought together 24 students from 12 teams of prospective university students from the Daegu and Gyeongbuk region.

This program, in collaboration with startup investment firm IPS Ventures, was designed to enhance understanding of overseas markets and support prospective university student startup teams' global expansion. Participants gained firsthand experience with the Japanese startup ecosystem and gained practical global entrepreneurship experience.

During the training period, students visited the Shibuya Startup Support Center in Japan, toured the Japanese IT company Findy.Inc., and broadened their understanding of the Japanese startup environment and market trends through special lectures by local Korean entrepreneurs and startup experts.

This training also included a Korea-Japan IR competition. Three Daegu University startup teams and three local Japanese teams participated, presenting their business ideas, exchanging opinions, and strengthening their global startup capabilities.

Furthermore, the Daegu University Startup Support Team signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japanese company Starsia Venture Studio (SVS) and agreed to expand cooperation in various areas, including participation in global programs and mentoring support.

Lee Seong-yoon (a senior in Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering), who participated in the program, said, "I was able to broaden my understanding of global startups through interactions with local startups and startup support organizations. The competition with Japanese startups was particularly memorable."

Lee Jae-hyun, Director of Daegu University's Entrepreneurship Support Center, stated, "As the only entrepreneurship-focused university in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, we will continue to operate various programs to help students use their entrepreneurial journeys as a springboard for growth beyond Korea and into the global arena." He added, "We will actively support local university students' entrepreneurial endeavors."
