경북도는 16일 대구 그랜드호텔에서 자동차부품제조원(E7-3) 비자를 통해 입국한 외국인 인력과 도내 자동차부품 기업을 직접 연결하는 취업 매칭 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 법무부의 자동차부품제조원(E7-3) 비자 시범사업을 전국에서 가장 선제적으로 실행에 옮긴 사례로, 단순한 외국인 인력 도입을 넘어 지역 산업에 특화된 맞춤형 정착 모델을 구축한다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

자동차부품제조원(E7-3) 비자 시범사업은 지난해 5월 처음 신설됐으며, 시·도지사로부터 자동차부품기업 확인서를 발급받은 비수도권 지역 300인 미만 기업을 대상으로 추진된다. 경북도는 지난해 8월 충북·충남·광주와 함께 시범사업 지역으로 선정돼, 같은 해 10월부터 본격적으로 사업을 시행해 왔다.
