울릉군, 설 맞아 취약계층 102세대에 명절 음식 전달
자원봉사자 80명 참여…읍·면 전역 직접 방문 나눔
떡국떡·전·나물 등 상차림 음식 마련해 안부 살펴

【브레이크뉴스 울릉】전종환 기자=울릉군자원봉사센터가 설 명절을 맞아 지역 취약계층을 위한 음식 나눔 행사를 열었다.
울릉군에 따르면 자원봉사센터는 지난 10일과 11일 이틀간 울릉군 전 지역 취약계층 102세대를 직접 방문해 떡국떡과 전(6종), 나물(4종), 생선 등 명절 상차림에 필요한 음식을 전달했다.
이번 행사에는 김숙희 울릉군자원봉사센터장을 비롯해 개인 봉사자와 센터 관계자 등 80명이 참여했다. 봉사자들은 울릉읍 70세대, 서면 16세대, 북면 16세대를 찾아 준비한 음식을 전달하며 안부를 확인했다. 음식 나눔에는 MCS봉사단과 삼봉봉사회도 함께했다.
행사는 홀몸 어르신과 저소득 가구 등 명절에 식사 준비가 어려운 이웃을 대상으로 진행됐다. 봉사자들은 각 가정을 방문해 음식을 건네고 건강과 생활 여건을 살폈다.
음식을 전달받은 한 어르신은 “명절마다 끼니 걱정이 컸는데 이렇게 챙겨줘서 마음까지 든든하다”고 말했다.
남한권 울릉군수는 “설 명절을 맞아 지역 이웃들이 소외되지 않도록 작은 정성을 모았다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 나눔 활동을 통해 따뜻한 지역사회를 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Eighty people, including Ulleung County Volunteer Center Director Kim Sook-hee, individual volunteers, and center staff, participated in the event. Volunteers visited 70 households in Ulleung-eup, 16 in Seomyeon, and 16 in Buk-myeon, delivering the prepared food and checking on their well-being. The MCS Volunteer Group and Sambong Volunteer Association also participated in the food sharing.
The event targeted single seniors, low-income families, and others who struggle to prepare holiday meals. Volunteers visited each household, delivering food and checking on their health and living conditions.
One senior citizen who received the food said, "I used to worry about meals every holiday, but this kind of care gives me peace of mind."
The mayor of Ulleung County, South Korea, stated, "We've put together a small gesture to ensure our local neighbors aren't left out during the Lunar New Year holiday. We will continue to build a warm community through continued sharing activities."
