특히 TK 민심이 극우적이라는 시선에 대해 주 부의장은 적극적으로 반박했다. 그는 “이재명 정부에 대한 반감을 ‘윤 어게인’ 세력에 의탁하는 분들이 있는 것은 사실이지만, 대구·경북이 무조건 ‘윤 어게인’을 지지한다는 주장은 시도민을 모욕하는 것”이라고 목소리를 높였다. 이는 TK 유권자들이 합리적 판단을 내리는 ‘전략적 투표자’임을 강조한 발언으로 풀이된다.
