【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=예천군 한우 농가들의 개량 의지를 모은 ‘예천한우 개량회’가 출범하며 지역 한우 산업 경쟁력 강화에 나선다.
예천군농업기술센터(소장 손석원)는 예천군 한우 농가들이 참여한 ‘예천한우 개량회’가 공식 출범했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 출범식에서는 회원 간 협력을 기반으로 한우 혈통 관리와 유전능력 개량, 선진 사양기술 정보 공유 등을 통해 예천 한우의 경쟁력을 높이고 농가 소득 향상에 기여하기 위한 운영 방향을 공유했다.
또한 임원 선출을 통해 회장에 심헌보, 부회장에 권해연, 감사에 여규덕, 사무국장에 김도원이 각각 선임돼 개량회 운영을 맡게 됐다.
예천한우 개량회는 앞으로 우량 암소 개량기술 정보 교류와 선진지 견학, 교육 프로그램 등을 추진해 지역 한우 농가의 개량 역량을 높이고 한우 생산성 향상에 힘쓸 계획이다.
심헌보 회장은 “예천 한우의 지속적인 발전을 위해 농가 간 협력이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “개량회를 중심으로 혈통 관리와 사양기술 정보를 공유해 예천 한우의 경쟁력을 높여 나가겠다”고 말했다.
손석원 소장은 “이번 개량회 출범이 지역 한우 농가 간 개량 정보를 공유하고 체계적인 혈통 관리와 개량 활동을 추진하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “예천 한우의 품질 향상과 농가 경쟁력 강화를 위해 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

At the launch ceremony, the association shared its operational direction to enhance the competitiveness of Yecheon Hanwoo and contribute to increased farm income. This is achieved through cooperation among members, focusing on managing pedigrees, improving genetic capabilities, and sharing information on advanced feeding techniques.
Furthermore, following the election of officers, Shim Heon-bo was appointed President, Kwon Hae-yeon Vice President, Yeo Gyu-deok Auditor, and Kim Do-won Secretary General, who will oversee the operation of the association. The Yecheon Hanwoo Improvement Association plans to enhance the breeding capabilities of local Hanwoo farms and strive to improve Hanwoo productivity by promoting the exchange of information on breeding techniques for superior cows, field trips to advanced sites, and educational programs.
Chairman Shim Heon-bo stated, "Cooperation among farms is paramount for the sustainable development of Yecheon Hanwoo," adding, "We will strengthen the competitiveness of Yecheon Hanwoo by sharing information on pedigree management and rearing techniques centered around the Association."
