경북도는 수출 차질과 물류비 상승, 원자재 가격 급등 등으로 피해를 입은 기업의 세 부담을 완화하고 경영 정상화를 돕기 위해 지방세 특별지원을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

지원 대상은 운송 지연에 따른 납기 차질과 물류비 증가 등으로 피해를 입은 기업으로, 주요 지원 내용은 취득세·지방소득세 등 신고납부 세목의 납부기한 연장과 재산세 등 부과고지 세목의 고지 유예다.

또한 이미 고지된 지방세나 체납액에 대해서는 징수유예 및 체납처분 유예를 신청 또는 시장·군수 직권으로 지원할 방침이다.

특히 4월 신고 대상인 지방소득세의 경우, 법인세 신고 과정에서 국세청으로부터 피해기업으로 인정받으면 별도의 추가 확인 절차 없이 즉시 지원 대상에 포함된다. 납부세액이 100만 원을 초과해 일시 납부가 어려운 기업에는 분할 납부도 적극 허용할 계획이다.

이와 함께 지방세 환급금을 조기에 지급하는 등 기업 자금 유동성 확보를 위한 행정 지원도 병행하고, 지원 제도를 알지 못해 혜택을 받지 못하는 사례가 없도록 시·군 및 유관기관과 협력해 적극적인 홍보에 나설 예정이다.

김호진 경북도 기획조정실장은 “중동 사태로 인한 대외 불확실성 속에서 기업들이 겪는 어려움에 깊이 공감한다”며 “이번 지방세 지원이 기업의 세 부담 완화와 경영 안정에 실질적인 도움이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
