시는 15일 시청 대회의실에서 장상길 포항시장 권한대행 주재로 ‘2027년도 국가투자예산 확보 제2차 추진상황 보고회’를 열고, 부처별 예산 편성 일정에 맞춘 맞춤형 국비 확보 전략을 점검했다.

현재 포항시가 추진 중인 2027년도 국비 확보 대상 사업은 총 287건, 1조 6,631억 원 규모다. 이 가운데 신규사업은 95건(2,526억 원), 계속사업은 192건(1조 4,105억 원)에 달한다.

주요 사업으로는 제조 특화 온디바이스 AI 기반 자율제조 실증 기반 구축 사업을 비롯해 포항 연어양식 특화단지 확대 조성, 복합 해양레저관광도시 조성 등 미래 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 핵심 프로젝트들이 포함됐다.

시는 이번 보고회에서 중앙부처 협의 진행 상황을 점검하는 한편, 본격적인 정부 예산 심의 과정에서 제기될 수 있는 쟁점에 대비해 대응 논리를 보완하는 데 집중했다.

특히 영일만횡단대교 등 대형 사회간접자본(SOC) 사업과 이차전지·수소·바이오 등 전략산업 분야 사업의 정부 정책 부합성을 강조하며, 건전한 재정 운용과 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 수 있도록 국비 확보에 총력을 기울일 방침이다.

시는 향후 각 부처 예산안이 기획재정부로 제출되는 시점까지 경상북도와 중앙부처, 국회를 수시로 방문해 사업의 타당성과 필요성을 적극 설명할 계획이다. 아울러 부처별 업무계획과 공모사업 동향을 지속적으로 분석해 전략을 보완해 나갈 예정이다.

장상길 권한대행은 “국·도비 확보를 통한 공공 투자가 민생 안정의 마중물이 돼야 한다”며 “지금은 발굴된 사업을 실제 예산에 반영해야 하는 중요한 시기인 만큼 부서 간 긴밀한 협업과 치밀한 논리 개발, 적극적인 부처 설득을 통해 최종 예산 반영까지 총력을 다해달라”고 강조했다.
