또 “클린공천지원단의 보고까지 끝난 사안을 다시 표결에 부치는 것은 절차와 원칙에도 맞지 않는다”며 “이 같은 재심의는 오히려 성비위 제보자를 고통스럽게 하는 일”이라고 비판의 목소리를 높였다.
김 의원은 “이런 상황에서 더는 공관위 직을 맡을 명분이 없다”며 사퇴 의지를 거듭 밝혔다. 그러면서도 “당과 후보들이 서로 갈등을 넘어서 국민을 향해 나아가길 바란다”며 지방선거 승리를 응원했다.
김 의원의 사퇴로 이인선 위원장이 이끄는 대구시당 공관위는 내홍이 본격적으로 불거진 채 공천 작업을 이어가야 하는 상황에 놓였다.
정치권 일각에서는 공천 번복과 검증 기준 논란이 당내 신뢰도에 상당한 타격을 줄 수 있다는 우려도 나오고 있다.
