【브레이크뉴스 문경】이성현 기자=문경시는 지난 5월 1일 문경찻사발축제 행사장에서 ‘저출생 부담타파 4대 문화운동’ 홍보 부스를 운영하며 시민과 관광객을 대상으로 인구 문제 대응 캠페인을 전개했다.

4일 문경시에 따르면 ‘저출생 부담타파 4대 문화운동’은 ▲결혼을 존중하는 사회 분위기 조성(행복한 결혼) ▲안심하고 아이를 낳을 수 있는 환경 조성(즐거운 임신·출산) ▲부담을 덜고 편안하게 아이를 키울 수 있는 여건 마련(편안한 육아) ▲일과 생활의 균형 확산(자유로운 일·생활 균형) 등 4대 핵심 목표를 중심으로 추진되는 캠페인이다. 

문경시는 이를 통해 인구감소 위기에 선제적으로 대응하고 시민들의 자발적인 참여를 유도한다는 방침이다.

현장을 찾은 시민들은 저출생 문제의 심각성에 공감하며, 결혼과 출산을 존중하는 사회적 분위기 조성과 육아 환경 개선, 일·생활 균형 지원 확대의 필요성에 뜻을 함께했다.

이와 함께 시는 인구감소 대응 정책 수립을 위한 주민 의견을 수렴하기 위해 설문조사도 병행 실시했다. 이번 조사에서 수집된 의견과 서명 결과는 향후 인구 정책 및 대응 계획 수립에 적극 반영될 예정이다.

문경시는 앞으로 사과축제와 한우축제 등 주요 지역 축제와 연계해 ‘저출생 부담타파 4대 문화운동’을 지속적으로 추진하고, 시민 참여를 확대해 인구 문제에 대한 사회적 공감대를 넓혀 나갈 계획이다.

전미경 문경시 정책기획단장은 “시민들의 작은 참여가 지역의 변화를 이끄는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 시민이 체감할 수 있는 맞춤형 정책을 발굴하고 인구 대응 정책을 더욱 적극적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
