대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)와 경산동의한방촌은 최근 대구광역시노인연합회와 ‘100세 플러스 시대 한방 웰니스 건강증진’을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 이종익 대구시노인연합회장을 비롯한 구·군 지회장 및 임원진과 동의한방촌 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석했다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 어르신들의 건강한 일상 지원을 위해 한방 체험 프로그램을 확대하고, 각종 행사와 연계한 체험부스 운영에 협력하기로 했다. 또한 시설 이용료 20% 할인과 함께 한방화장품 및 관련 제품 구매 시 최대 50% 할인 혜택을 제공할 예정이다.

이종익 회장은 “이번 협약을 통해 어르신들이 다양한 한방 프로그램을 체험하며 건강한 삶을 이어갈 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

최용구 동의한방촌장은 “한방 인프라와 체험 프로그램을 기반으로 어르신 삶의 질 향상에 기여하고, 시니어 웰니스 산업 발전에도 적극 나서겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 대구한의대학교와 경산시는 관학협력을 바탕으로 한방 웰니스·문화·복지 분야 협력을 지속해 왔으며, 이번 협약을 계기로 어르신 대상 체감형 건강 서비스와 지역 기반 시니어 산업이 더욱 확대될 것으로 기대된다.

Gyeongsan Dongui Oriental Medicine Village, operating as a public-academic cooperation model between Daegu Hani University and Gyeongsan City, has established a cooperative system to promote the health of senior citizens.

Daegu Hani University (President Byun Chang-hoon) and Gyeongsan Dongui Oriental Medicine Village announced that they recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Daegu City Senior Citizens Association for "Oriental Medicine Wellness Health Promotion in the Era of 100-Year Plus."

Approximately 20 people attended the signing ceremony, including Lee Jong-ik, President of the Daegu City Senior Citizens Association, as well as district and county branch presidents, executives, and officials from Dongui Oriental Medicine Village.

Under the agreement, both organizations agreed to expand Oriental medicine experience programs to support the healthy daily lives of senior citizens and to cooperate in operating experience booths linked to various events. In addition, a 20% discount on facility usage fees will be provided, along with a discount of up to 50% on the purchase of herbal cosmetics and related products.

Chairman Lee Jong-ik stated, "Through this agreement, I hope that seniors will be able to continue leading healthy lives by experiencing various herbal medicine programs."

Choi Yong-gu, Director of Dongui Hanbang Village, announced, "Based on our herbal medicine infrastructure and experiential programs, we will contribute to improving the quality of life for seniors and actively participate in the development of the senior wellness industry."

Meanwhile, Daegu Hani University and Gyeongsan City have continuously collaborated in the fields of herbal wellness, culture, and welfare based on government-university cooperation. With this agreement, it is expected that tangible health services for seniors and the local senior industry will expand further.
