【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교가 디지털 전환 시대를 이끌 인공지능(AI)·소프트웨어(SW) 전문 인재 양성을 위해 산학협력 기반 교육 인프라를 강화했다.

대구대학교(총장 박순진) 소프트웨어중심대학사업단은 지난 4월 29일 대구캠퍼스 공학7호관에서 ‘네이버클라우드아카데미’ 실습실 개소식을 열고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이번 실습실 구축은 네이버클라우드와의 협력을 통해 실무 중심 교육 환경을 조성하고, 학생들이 산업 현장에 준하는 조건에서 클라우드 및 AI 기술을 체험할 수 있도록 하기 위해 추진됐다. 개소식에는 정철 부총장과 유준혁 소프트웨어중심대학사업단장을 비롯한 대학 관계자, 김한결 네이버클라우드 상무, 수강생 등 40여 명이 참석했다.

정철 부총장은 “이번 실습실 개소는 미래 산업 수요에 대응하는 혁신 교육의 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라며 “학생들이 현장 중심 교육을 통해 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 디지털 인재로 성장하길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

김한결 네이버클라우드 상무는 “대구대학교와 협력을 통해 지역 청년들에게 수준 높은 AI·SW 교육 기회를 제공하게 되어 의미가 크다”며 “앞으로도 실무 중심 교육과 기술 지원을 통해 인재 양성에 적극 협력하겠다”고 말했다.

유준혁 단장은 “학생들이 실제 산업 환경과 동일한 조건에서 클라우드와 AI 기술을 직접 다루며 실전 역량을 키울 수 있도록 지원하겠다”며 “선도 기업과의 긴밀한 협력을 바탕으로 차별화된 소프트웨어 교육 모델을 지속적으로 구축해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

한편 대구대는 산학협력 기반 교육을 확대해 AI·SW 분야 실무형 인재 양성에 박차를 가하고 있다.

Approximately 40 people attended the opening ceremony, including Vice President Jeong Cheol, Director of the Software-Centered University Project Group Yoo Jun-hyeok, other university officials, Naver Cloud Executive Director Kim Han-gyeol, and students.
