개막을 하루 앞두고 축제 준비가 한창인 가운데, 이번 행사는 단순 관람을 넘어 하루 일정을 온전히 채울 수 있는 ‘체류형 축제’로 구성된 것이 특징이다. 방문객들은 아침부터 저녁까지 시간 흐름에 따라 먹거리와 체험, 공연을 연계해 즐길 수 있다.

축제는 아침 시간대부터 산나물 향이 가득한 미식 공간으로 시작된다. 영상 관람 프로그램과 산나물 전시, 먹거리 부스가 마련돼 비교적 여유롭게 축제에 적응할 수 있으며, 다양한 산나물 요리와 지역 특산물을 접할 수 있다.
