행복진흥사회서비스원은 지난 6일 청년 캠퍼스 안전지킴이단과 대구강북경찰서가 함께 대구시 북구 대구보건대학교 인근 골목길에서 ‘성폭력범죄 예방 합동순찰 캠페인’을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 대학가와 주택가 등 안전에 취약한 지역을 중심으로, 주민들이 직접 체감할 수 있는 안전도를 높이고 경찰과 청년이 함께하는 협력 치안 모델을 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
참여자들은 경찰과 청년 안전지킴이단으로 나눠 골목길과 야간 취약 구역을 돌며 예방 홍보물을 배부하고, 주민들을 상대로 안전 상담과 신고 방법을 안내했다. 또 조도가 어두운 곳이나 CCTV 사각지대 등 범죄 취약 요소를 꼼꼼히 점검하며 현장 안전 실태도 살폈다.
청년 캠퍼스 안전지킴이단은 자발적으로 순찰에 참여해 지역사회에 범죄 예방 분위기를 조성하는 데 힘을 더했다.
행복진흥사회서비스원 관계자는 “이번 합동순찰은 지역사회와 청년이 함께 만들어가는 안전 문화의 시작”이라며 “앞으로도 다양한 유관기관과 협력해 더욱 안전한 지역 환경을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
