【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도가 올해 4월 상하이 권역에서 개최한 ‘Post-APEC 투자포럼’의 후속 성과로 중국 심천전자상회 대표단의 도내 방문을 이끌어내며 글로벌 투자유치 활동에 속도를 내고 있다.

이번 방문은 Post-APEC 투자포럼을 통해 구축된 네트워크를 기반으로 추진된 후속 사업으로, 중국 심천 지역 유망 전자·반도체 기업들이 경북의 투자환경을 직접 확인하고 협력 가능성을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

심천전자상회는 약 2,900개 회원사를 보유한 중국 대표 전자정보 산업단체로, 반도체와 인공지능(AI), 스마트 제조 등 첨단산업 분야 기업들이 다수 참여하고 있는 영향력 있는 조직이다.

방문단 25명은 지난 7일부터 8일까지 1박 2일 일정으로 경북 주요 산업 현장을 둘러보고 있다.

첫날인 7일에는 경산산업단지 복합문화센터에서 경산시 투자환경 설명회를 듣고, 경산지역 로봇·자동차 부품 기업 10개사와 간담회를 진행했다. 참석자들은 기술 협력과 신규 거래처 발굴 방안 등에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

이어 8일에는 구미 삼성전자 스마트시티 홍보관을 방문해 스마트 제조 공정을 견학하고, 경상북도와 구미시가 공동 개최한 투자환경 설명회에 참석했다.

또 김천에 위치한 검사장비 제조 전문기업 위드시스템㈜ 공장을 찾아 생산라인을 둘러보며 경북 기업들의 기술력과 투자 협력 가능성을 확인했다.

경북도는 이번 행사가 단순 교류를 넘어 Post-APEC 투자포럼에서 논의된 협력 의제를 실제 투자 논의로 연결한 첫 사례라는 점에서 의미가 크다고 설명했다. 도는 향후 중국 첨단기업의 경북 진출과 공동 프로젝트 발굴로 이어질 것으로 기대하고 있다.

이남억 경상북도 공항투자본부장은 “이번 심천전자상회 방문은 Post-APEC 투자포럼의 가시적인 성과이자 글로벌 네트워크가 실제 투자유치로 이어지는 중요한 전환점”이라며 “앞으로도 후속 연계 사업을 확대해 첨단산업 중심의 외국인 투자유치를 적극 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 경상북도는 이번 방문을 계기로 중국을 비롯한 아시아 주요 권역과의 투자협력 채널을 강화하고, APEC을 활용한 글로벌 투자유치 전략을 지속적으로 추진할 계획이다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do is accelerating its global investment attraction activities by securing a visit from a delegation of the Shenzhen Electronics Chamber of Commerce as a follow-up achievement to the ‘Post-APEC Investment Forum’ held in the Shanghai region this past April.

This visit is a follow-up initiative driven by the network established through the Post-APEC Investment Forum. It was arranged for promising electronics and semiconductor companies from the Shenzhen region to directly assess Gyeongbuk’s investment environment and explore potential for cooperation.

The Shenzhen Electronics Chamber of Commerce is a leading Chinese electronics and information industry association with approximately 2,900 member companies. It is an influential organization with a large number of participating firms in high-tech sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart manufacturing.

The 25-member delegation is touring key industrial sites in Gyeongbuk from the 7th to the 8th on a two-day, one-night itinerary. On the first day, the 7th, the delegation attended a briefing on Gyeongsan City's investment environment at the Gyeongsan Industrial Complex Cultural Center and held a meeting with 10 local robot and automotive parts companies. Attendees exchanged views on technological cooperation and strategies for identifying new clients.

Subsequently, on the 8th, they visited the Samsung Electronics Smart City PR Hall in Gumi to tour smart manufacturing processes and attended an investment environment briefing jointly hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gumi City.

They also visited the factory of With System Co., Ltd., a specialized inspection equipment manufacturer located in Gimcheon, to tour the production lines and assess the technological capabilities of Gyeongbuk companies and the potential for investment cooperation.

Gyeongbuk-do explained that this event holds great significance as it is the first instance where cooperation agendas discussed at the Post-APEC Investment Forum were translated into actual investment discussions, going beyond mere exchange. The province anticipates that this will lead to the entry of high-tech Chinese companies into Gyeongbuk and the identification of joint projects in the future. Lee Nam-eok, Head of the Airport Investment Headquarters of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, “This visit to the Shenzhen Electronics Chamber of Commerce is a tangible achievement of the Post-APEC Investment Forum and a significant turning point where global networks lead to actual investment attraction.” He added, “We will continue to expand follow-up projects to actively pursue foreign investment attraction centered on high-tech industries.”

Meanwhile, Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to use this visit as an opportunity to strengthen investment cooperation channels with major Asian regions, including China, and to continuously pursue a global investment attraction strategy utilizing APEC.
