【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 응급구조과가 현장 중심의 응급의료 인재 양성을 위해 대한응급구조사협회 대구지회와 손잡았다.

영진전문대 응급구조과는 12일 복현캠퍼스 정보관에서 대한응급구조사협회 대구지회와 산학협력 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 지역 내 응급의료 체계 발전과 학생들의 실무 역량 강화를 위한 것으로 마련됐다.

양 기관은 앞으로 응급의료 분야의 교육, 학술 교류뿐 아니라 현장실습 지원과 취업 연계, 응급처치 교육 프로그램 운영, 안전문화 확산 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 이어갈 예정이다.

영진전문대 응급구조과는 실습 중심 교육과 병원, 소방기관과의 연계 프로그램을 통해 현장 적응력이 뛰어난 전문 인력을 지속적으로 배출하고 있다. 특히 시뮬레이션 기반 교육과 국가시험에서의 성과를 바탕으로 지역 응급의료 분야의 핵심 학과로 자리매김하고 있다는 평가다.

이번 협약을 계기로 학생들은 현직 응급구조사들과의 교류를 통해 실제 재난과 응급 현장에서 축적된 다양한 사례와 경험을 직접 접할 수 있게 됐다. 이에 따라 임상 대응 능력과 현장 실무 감각도 한층 높아질 것으로 기대된다.

이양선 응급구조과 학과장은 “이번 협약은 학생들에게 더 넓은 현장 경험과 전문 교육의 기회를 제공하는 뜻깊은 자리”라며 “앞으로도 대한응급구조사협회 대구지회와 함께 지역사회 안전과 응급의료 발전을 이끌 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

The Department of Emergency Medical Services at Yeongjin College has partnered with the Daegu Branch of the Korean Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (KAEMT) to foster field-oriented emergency medical professionals.

The Department of Emergency Medical Services at Yeongjin College announced on the 12th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for industry-academia cooperation with the Daegu Branch of KAEMT at the Information Center on the Bokhyun Campus. Going forward, both organizations plan to continue cooperation in various fields, including education and academic exchange in the emergency medical sector, as well as support for field training, job placement, the operation of first aid training programs, and the promotion of a safety culture.

The Department of Emergency Medical Services at Yeongjin College consistently produces highly adaptable professionals through practice-oriented education and linkage programs with hospitals and fire departments. In particular, it is recognized as establishing itself as a core department in the regional emergency medical sector based on its simulation-based education and achievements in national examinations.

Through this agreement, students will be able to directly access diverse cases and experiences accumulated at actual disaster and emergency sites through exchanges with active emergency medical technicians. As a result, clinical response capabilities and practical field skills are expected to be further enhanced.

Lee Yang-seon, Head of the Department of Emergency Medical Services, said, “This agreement is a meaningful occasion that provides students with broader field experience and opportunities for specialized education,” adding, “We will continue to work with the Daegu Branch of the Korean Association of Emergency Medical Technicians to foster talent that will lead the safety of the local community and the development of emergency medical services.”
