【브레이크뉴스 구미】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 구미시(을) 당원협의회가 13일 당협사무실에서 지방선거 후보자 공천장 수여식을 열고, ‘원팀’ 선거 체제에 본격 돌입했다.

이날 행사에는 강명구 구미시(을) 당협위원장과 김장호 구미시장 후보를 비롯해 광역·기초의원 후보 등 18명이 참석했다.

강 위원장은 직접 후보자들에게 공천장을 전달하고, 빨간 장미를 건넸다. 그는 “공천장은 겉으로는 한 장의 종이처럼 보이지만 그 의미는 절대 가볍지 않다”며, “주민들을 향한 진심과 책임감으로 이번 지방선거에서 꼭 승리해달라”고 당부했다. 이어 “구미가 보수의 심장이자 승리의 바람이 시작되는 최전선이라는 마음으로 힘을 모아 압승을 이루자”고 강조했다.

행사 중에는 후보자 전원이 저마다의 포부를 적은 ‘빨간 종이비행기’를 함께 날리며 단합을 다졌다. 당협 측은 빨간 장미와 종이비행기에 대해 “사랑과 열정, 그리고 승리에 대한 강한 의지를 담은 상징”이라고 설명했다.

김장호 구미시장 후보는 “준비된 유능한 인재들이 모두 구미 발전만을 바라보며 출사표를 냈다”며, “사즉생의 각오로 원팀이 돼 반드시 승리하겠다”고 밝혔다.

후보자들도 공동 다짐문을 통해 “항상 겸손하고 낮은 자세로 시민들 곁에서 민심을 경청하겠다”고 약속했다.

이날 공천장을 받은 광역의원 후보에는 이명희(5구), 윤종호(6구), 김창혁(7구), 백순창(8구) 후보 등이 포함됐다.

후보자들은 14일부터 15일까지 이틀간 선거관리위원회 후보 등록을 마친 후, 본격적인 선거 운동에 들어갈 예정이다.

The candidates for metropolitan council who received their nomination certificates on this day included Lee Myung-hee (District 5), Yoon Jong-ho (District 6), Kim Chang-hyeok (District 7), and Baek Soon-chang (District 8).

The candidates are scheduled to begin their full-scale election campaigns after completing candidate registration with the Election Commission over the two days from the 14th to the 15th.
