【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=하중환 대구시의회 운영위원장(달성군1)이 최근 국민의힘 중앙당 부대변인으로 임명됐다. 

6·3 지방선거가 본격적으로 시작된 가운데, 이번 인사가 지역 민심과 중앙당 메시지를 더욱 긴밀하게 연결하기 위한 의도로 풀이된다.

국민의힘 대구시당은 14일 보도자료를 통해 하 위원장이 중앙당 부대변인직을 맡게 됐다고 공식 발표했다.

하 부대변인은 달성군의회 7·8대 의원을 거쳐 현재 제9대 대구시의회에서 활동 중이다. 그동안 시당 대변인과 수석대변인 등으로 일하며, 지역 현안을 시민들에게 전달하는 역할을 해왔다. 현재는 대구시의회 운영위원장을 맡고 있다.

전국시도의회 운영위원장협의회 활동 등, 전국 단위의 의정 네트워크에도 적극적으로 참여한 점이 이번 인사 배경으로 꼽힌다.

하 부대변인은 "지방의회, 선거 캠프, 시당 대변인 등 여러 경험을 바탕으로, 지역 민심을 중앙당 메시지와 연결하는 가교 역할을 제대로 해내겠다"고 밝혔다.

국민의힘 관계자 역시 "하 의원의 현장 경험과 소통 능력이 중앙당과 지역 민심 사이를 효과적으로 이어줄 것으로 기대한다"고 평가했다.

정치권에서는 이번 인사를 두고 지방선거를 앞두고 보수 지지층 결집과 TK 지역 민심 관리 등 중앙당과 지역 간 소통을 강화하려는 전략이라는 해석도 나온다. 

특히 대구·경북 지역의 현안을 보다 직접적으로 중앙당 논평이나 선거 메시지에 반영하려는 의도라는 분석도 제기된다.

향후 하 부대변인이 중앙당에서 어떤 역할을 맡아 지역 현안에 얼마나 영향력을 미칠지, 또 중앙당의 정책과 메시지에 어떤 변화를 불러올지 관심이 쏠린다.
