형산강 장미원은 1,800㎡ 규모로 조성된 도심형 장미정원으로, 루지메이양을 비롯한 30여 종의 다양한 장미가 식재돼 있다. 포항시의 시화(市花)인 장미를 테마로 형산강변을 따라 형형색색의 꽃밭이 펼쳐져 있어 시민들에게 대표적인 봄철 산책 명소로 사랑받고 있다.

특히 형산강을 배경으로 다채로운 장미가 어우러진 풍경은 산책과 휴식을 즐기려는 시민들에게 색다른 볼거리를 제공하며, 사진 촬영 명소로도 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
