추 후보는 19일 오후 선거캠프에서 공약 발표회를 열고 “국내외 대기업을 유치해 대구경제의 판을 완전히 바꾸겠다”고 밝혔다. 또한 “반도체, 미래차, 로봇 중심으로 산업을 재편해 대구 GRDP 200조 원 시대를 열겠다”고 강조했다.

특히 반도체 산업을 집중 육성하겠다는 의지를 내비쳤다. 삼성전자와 SK하이닉스 반도체 팹 유치를 핵심 공약으로 내세운 그는 “대구는 반도체 산업에 필요한 물과 전력, 교통, 인재 인프라를 모두 갖춘 도시”라며, “낙동강과 금호강 수자원, 동해안 원전 기반 전력망, TK신공항과 사통팔달 교통망, 경북대와 DGIST 등 우수 인재 양성 체계를 통해 반도체 공장 유치에 최적지”라고 설명했다.
