선대위에 따르면 올해 구미시 예산은 전년도 대비 7,260억 원이 늘어난 2조 232억 원을 기록했다. 또, 삼성SDS, 한화시스템, LIG넥스원, LG이노텍, SK실트론 등 1,000여 개 기업으로부터 총 16조 1,042억 원 규모의 투자를 유치했다고 밝혔다. 이는 민선 7기와 비교해 194% 증가한 수치라고 설명했다.
구자근 선대위원장은 “구미가 다시 도약하려면 원팀 정신이 반드시 필요하다”며 “직접 시민들을 만나 소중한 의견을 듣겠다”고 말했다.
