울진군의료원은 지난 15일 병동 내 입원환자의 낙상사고 예방과 안전 확보를 위해 최신 전동 저상침대 120대를 신규 도입했다고 밝혔다.

이번에 도입된 저상침대는 침대 높이를 최저 23㎝에서 최대 63㎝까지 조절할 수 있는 최신형 장비다. 침대 높이를 낮춰 낙상 발생 시 충격을 최소화할 수 있어 2차 안전사고 예방 효과가 기대된다.

또한 등받이 각도 조절과 높낮이 조절 기능을 갖춰 환자의 신체 상태와 치료 편의성을 고려한 맞춤형 사용이 가능하도록 설계됐다.

의료원에 따르면 전체 입원환자 가운데 65세 이상 고령층 비율이 83.6%에 달하는 만큼, 이번 장비 도입으로 고령 환자와 거동이 불편한 환자의 이동과 자세 변경이 보다 수월해질 것으로 기대하고 있다.

의료진 역시 간호와 진료 과정에서 환자 상태를 보다 효율적으로 관리할 수 있어 전반적인 의료서비스 질 향상에도 도움이 될 전망이다.

울진군의료원은 지역민에게 더욱 안전하고 쾌적한 의료환경을 제공하기 위해 ‘2025년도 한울원전 한수원 사업자지원사업’을 통해 총 19억 원의 예산을 확보하고 의료장비 현대화와 병원 환경 개선 사업을 추진하고 있다.

이번 전동 저상침대 교체 외에도 병실에서 혈압과 맥박, 활력징후를 실시간 기록할 수 있는 바이탈 전산화 시스템 도입 등 모두 8개 사업을 진행 중이며, 사업이 완료되면 의료서비스 수준이 한층 향상될 것으로 기대된다.

조영래 원장은 “입원환자들이 보다 편안하고 안정적인 환경에서 치료받을 수 있도록 최신 전동침대를 도입했다”며 “앞으로도 지역 주민의 건강과 안전을 최우선 가치로 삼아 신뢰받는 공공의료기관으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
