【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=김부겸 더불어민주당 대구시장 후보가 21일 대구 범어네거리에서 공식 출정식을 열고 본격적인 선거운동에 들어갔다. 

이날 행사에는 지지자와 선거운동원 등 200여 명이 참석해 열띤 분위기를 보였다. 

김 후보는 연단에 올라 “이번 선거는 제 개인이 아닌, 대구를 반드시 살려야 하는 절박한 선거”라며, “도약이냐, 정체냐가 이번 선거의 가장 중요한 화두”라고 강조했다. 

그는 “청년들이 도시를 떠나고, 골목상권이 무너지는 현실을 더이상 두고 볼 수 없다”며, “예산과 정책을 실제로 가져올 수 있는 유능한 시장이 필요하다”고 말했다.

이날 범어네거리 일대에는 선거운동원들이 곳곳에 배치돼 시민들과 차량에 직접 인사하며 선거 열기를 끌어올렸다. 중심 상권이자 교통 요지인 이 장소를 선택한 것도 김 후보가 대구 경제 회복과 도시 재도약에 대한 의지를 알리기 위한 것으로 풀이된다.

김 후보는 선거 핵심 과제로 신공항·K2 이전부지 개발, 대기업 유치, 상권 회복, 청년 일자리 확대 등을 꼽았다. 

그는 “신공항 사업은 단순한 이전이 아니라 대구의 미래를 새로 세우는 사업”이라며, “군위에는 방산기업과 항공정비산업을 유치하고, K2 이전 부지에는 기업하기 좋은 신도시를 조성해 대구 경제의 심장을 뛰게 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

또한 김 후보는 “대구는 저를 키운 도시”라고 강조하며 “국회의원과 장관, 국무총리를 지낸 경험을 바탕으로 정부와 국회를 설득해 대구의 숙원사업을 반드시 해결하겠다”고 말했다. 

그는 “저에게는 다음이 없다. 마지막 땀 한 방울까지 대구를 위해 쏟겠다”며 시민들의 지지를 호소했다.

한편, 김부겸 희망캠프 측은 앞으로 13일간 시장, 산업단지, 청년·소상공인 현장 등을 중심으로 민생 밀착형 선거운동을 이어갈 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Candidate Kim also emphasized, "Daegu is the city that raised me," adding, "Based on my experience as a National Assembly member, minister, and prime minister, I will persuade the government and the National Assembly to definitely resolve Daegu's long-standing issues."

He appealed for the citizens' support, declaring, "There is no next time for me. I will pour every last drop of sweat into Daegu."

Meanwhile, the Kim Boo-kyum Hope Camp announced plans to continue a campaign focused on people's livelihoods for the next 13 days, centering on markets, industrial complexes, and sites frequented by young people and small business owners.
