【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=임종식 경북교육감 후보가 유보통합 시대에 발맞춰 ‘아이 중심·현장 중심 교육·돌봄 지원 패키지’ 공약을 내놓았다.

임 후보는 21일, 유치원과 어린이집을 아우르는 통합형 영유아 지원체계를 만들겠다고 밝혔다. 이를 통해 학부모의 부담을 줄이고, 돌봄과 급식, 현장 지원을 더욱 강화하겠다는 방침이다.

급식의 질을 높이기 위해 조리 인력을 추가로 지원하고, 위생과 안전관리도 강화할 계획이다. 아울러 사립 유치원 조리사 인건비 지원도 검토 중이라고 전했다.

임 후보는 이 밖에도 유치원, 어린이집, 초등학교 간 교육복지 연계를 강화해 유보통합 과정에서 생길 수 있는 복지 공백을 최소화하겠다고 강조했다.

임 후보는 “영유아기는 평생 학습의 출발점”이라며, “아이들이 안전하고 즐겁게 배울 수 있도록 첫 배움부터 책임지겠다”고 밝혔다.

또 “입학준비금 지원과 방과후 전담 인력 확충으로 학부모의 초기 부담을 줄이겠다”며 “디지털과 자연, 놀이와 배움이 균형 잡힌 유아기 교육을 실현하겠다”고 말했다.
