구자근 국회의원은 22일 “구미시가 소담스퀘어 사업 대상지로 뽑히면서, 지역 소상공인과 청년 창업가들이 디지털 전환 기반을 갖추게 됐다”고 전했다.

소담스퀘어는 라이브커머스, 콘텐츠 제작과 교육, 공유오피스 기능을 한데 모은 디지털 커머스 복합 공간이다. 구미에는 약 150평(502㎡) 규모로 들어설 예정이며, 이곳에는 촬영 스튜디오 3개와 녹음실, 편집실, 교육장, 라운지, 컨설팅룸 등이 마련된다.

사업 첫해에는 구축과 운영비로 10억 원이 투입되고, 이후 5년 동안은 매년 약 7억 원씩 운영비가 지원된다.
