【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=임종식 경북교육감 후보가 학생에게 꼭 맞는 맞춤형 교육 강화 방안을 담은 ‘기초에서 미래까지 모두 품는 최적 학습 제공’ 공약을 내놨다. 

임 후보는 단순히 성적 경쟁에 치우치기보다는 진학과 진로, 정서까지 공교육이 책임지도록 하겠다는 구상이다. 이번 공약은 학부모의 사교육 부담과 학생들이 학교를 옮길 때 느끼는 불안을 덜어주겠다는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

임 후보는 ‘사람 중심 AI 대전환 교육’을 핵심 비전으로 제시하며, “학생마다 배우는 속도와 재능, 꿈이 다르기 때문에 이제는 공교육도 아이 한 명 한 명에 맞춰 책임지는 체계로 바뀌어야 한다”고 말했다.

주요 공약으로는 공교육에 기반한 맞춤형 진학 지원 플랫폼 ‘경북진학온’ 시스템을 한 단계 더 발전시키겠다는 계획을 내놨다. 학생부와 학업 데이터를 한데 모아 분석해, 학생별로 맞춤 진학 상담과 진로 가이드라인을 제공한다는 것이다. 

이를 통해 학생들이 학교 안에서 ▲대입 준비 ▲진로 탐색까지 모두 할 수 있도록 하겠다는 구상이다.

또, 스터디카페형 자기주도학습 공간과 자기주도학습센터를 더 확대하고, 수능 대비 평가 문항을 개발하거나 수능 학습 동아리도 운영해 학생들이 스스로 학습 계획을 짤 수 있는 환경을 마련하겠다고 밝혔다.

임 후보는 학생들의 다양한 경험을 학습 이력으로 인정하는 ‘재능 성장 학점제’ 도입도 약속했다. 예술, 체육, 인문, 과학, 진로 활동 등 학생들의 성장 과정을 학점으로 관리해 고교학점제와 연계하고, 지역 대학이나 산업체와 연계한 진로체험 프로그램도 확대할 계획이다.

특히 학부모들의 관심이 많은 학교급 전환기 지원도 강화한다. 유치원에서 초등학교, 초등학교에서 중학교, 중학교에서 고등학교로 넘어갈 때마다 생기는 학습 공백과 정서 불안을 줄이기 위해 ‘전환기 학습·정서 패키지’도 운영한다. 여기에는 초등학교 6학년 집중 진로학기제, ‘중학교 가는 길’ 프로그램, 학업성취 진단 프로그램 등이 포함된다.

임 후보는 “전환기는 배움이 멈추는 시기가 아니라 새로운 성장을 위한 다리가 되어야 한다”며 “학생들의 학습, 정서, 진로까지 모두 책임지는 통합 지원 체계를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

이어 “경북교육 현장에서 47년 간 쌓은 경험을 살려, 성적만 따지는 교육이 아닌, 학생 한 명 한 명의 가능성을 발견하고 길을 열어주는 교육을 실현하겠다”며 “기초부터 미래까지, 모두를 품는 따뜻한 책임교육을 완성하겠다”고 강조했다.

To mitigate the learning gaps and emotional instability that occur whenever students move from kindergarten to elementary, from elementary to middle school, and from middle to high school, he will operate a "Transitional Learning and Emotional Package." This package includes an intensive career semester for 6th graders, the "Road to Middle School" program, and an academic achievement diagnostic program.

Candidate Lim stated, “A transitional period should not be a time for learning to stop, but rather a bridge for new growth,” adding, “I will create an integrated support system that takes full responsibility for students’ learning, emotional well-being, and career paths.”

He continued, “Leveraging my 47 years of experience in the field of education in Gyeongbuk, I will realize an education that discovers the potential of each and every student and opens their path, rather than one that focuses solely on grades,” emphasizing, “I will complete a warm and responsible education that embraces everyone, from the basics to the future.”
