대구테크노파크(대구TP)는 국토교통부 공모사업으로 추진 중인 ‘스마트도시 특화단지 조성사업’의 세부 실행방안을 논의하기 위해 제1차 거버넌스 위원회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의에는 대구광역시와 수성구청, 자치경찰위원회, 한국지능정보사회진흥원(NIA), 대구도시개발공사 등 관계기관을 비롯해 산·학·연·관 전문가 20여 명이 참석했다.

위원회는 수성알파시티를 중심으로 공공 인프라와 기업 기술, 시민 참여를 유기적으로 연계하는 협력 체계를 마련하고, 도시 문제를 효과적으로 발굴·해결하기 위한 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

참석자들은 스마트도시 특화단지 조성사업의 정책 방향과 세부 실행 과제의 타당성, 기대효과, 위험요인 등을 종합적으로 검토했다.

특히 혁신기술의 신속한 실증을 위한 행정 및 규제 지원 방안, 로봇·모빌리티·지능형 관제 분야 테스트베드 운영, 데이터 및 인공지능(AI) 기반 혁신 생태계 구축, 공공과 민간, 시민이 함께 참여하는 상시 협력체계 조성 등에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

또한 수성알파시티 입주기업과 관련 기관, 시민들의 다양한 의견과 현장 수요를 지속적으로 수렴할 수 있는 개방형 거버넌스 운영 방안도 주요 의제로 다뤄졌다. 이를 통해 실증사업의 공공성과 사업성, 기술 적용 가능성 등을 종합적으로 검토하는 체계를 마련할 계획이다.

최미경 대구시 미래혁신정책관은 “수성알파시티는 기업의 혁신기술을 실제 도시 환경에 적용하고 검증할 수 있는 우수한 여건을 갖추고 있다”며 “산·학·연·관이 긴밀히 협력하는 거버넌스를 바탕으로 시민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트서비스를 확대해 대한민국을 대표하는 스마트도시 모델로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 스마트도시 특화단지 조성사업은 혁신기술의 신속한 상용화를 지원하는 원스톱 체계 구축과 안전한 테스트베드 운영, 데이터·AI 기반 개방형 혁신 생태계 조성을 목표로 추진되고 있으며, 오는 2027년까지 단계적으로 사업이 진행될 예정이다.

Daegu Technopark has set out to establish a cooperation system to foster Suseong Alpha City into Korea's representative smart city.

Daegu Technopark (Daegu TP) announced that it held its first Governance Committee meeting to discuss detailed implementation plans for the "Smart City Specialized Complex Development Project," which is being pursued as a public competition project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Approximately 20 experts from industry, academia, research, and government attended the meeting, along with representatives from relevant organizations such as Daegu Metropolitan City, Suseong-gu Office, the Autonomous Police Commission, the National Intelligence Society Agency (NIA), and the Daegu Urban Development Corporation.

The committee was convened to establish a cooperation system that organically links public infrastructure, corporate technology, and citizen participation centered on Suseong Alpha City, and to explore ways to effectively identify and resolve urban problems. The participants comprehensively reviewed the policy direction of the Smart City Specialized Complex Development Project, as well as the feasibility, expected effects, and risk factors of the detailed implementation tasks.

In particular, discussions were held regarding administrative and regulatory support measures for the rapid demonstration of innovative technologies, the operation of testbeds in the fields of robotics, mobility, and intelligent control, the establishment of an innovation ecosystem based on data and artificial intelligence (AI), and the creation of a standing cooperative system involving the public, private, and citizen sectors.

In addition, plans for operating an open governance system to continuously gather diverse opinions and on-site demands from tenant companies in Suseong Alpha City, relevant institutions, and citizens were addressed as a major agenda item. Through this, plans are underway to establish a framework for comprehensively reviewing the public interest, business viability, and technological applicability of the demonstration projects.

Choi Mi-kyung, Director of Future Innovation Policy at Daegu City, stated, “Suseong Alpha City is equipped with excellent conditions to apply and verify companies’ innovative technologies in a real urban environment.” She added, “Based on a governance structure where industry, academia, research institutes, and government cooperate closely, we will expand smart services that citizens can experience firsthand and develop it into a representative smart city model for Korea.”

Meanwhile, the Smart City Specialized Complex Development Project is being pursued with the goals of establishing a one-stop system to support the rapid commercialization of innovative technologies, operating a safe testbed, and creating an open innovation ecosystem based on data and AI. The project is scheduled to proceed in stages until 2027.
