중앙선거관리위원회 개표 결과에 따르면 국민의힘은 다수 선거구에서 우세를 보이며 포항시의회 내 과반 의석을 확보했다. 더불어민주당은 7명의 당선인을 배출하며 원내 교두보를 유지했다.
선거구별 당선인을 보면 가선거구에서는 김후환·유흥근 후보가 당선됐고, 나선거구는 문성호·김종익 후보가 의회 입성에 성공했다.
