고령군은 지난 4일부터 7일까지 서울 코엑스에서 개최된 ‘제41회 서울국제관광전’과 5일부터 7일까지 청계광장에서 열린 ‘2026 경북관광페스타’에 참여해 관광 마케팅 활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

특히 서울국제관광전에서는 군을 대표하는 캐릭터를 활용한 홍보 전략이 좋은 평가를 받으며 ‘최우수 캐릭터상’을 수상했다.

고령군은 행사 기간 마스코트 ‘가야돌이’와 관광 캐릭터 ‘고고스트링밴드’를 앞세운 홍보관을 운영했다. 관람객들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 캐릭터 퍼레이드와 포토타임, 기념품 증정 이벤트 등을 마련해 현장 관심을 끌었다.

올해 서울국제관광전은 지속가능한 장기 체류형 여행을 주제로 열렸으며, 국내외 관광 관련 기관과 기업들이 참가해 최신 관광 트렌드와 산업 발전 방향을 공유했다.

고령군은 이번 행사를 통해 지역의 역사문화 자원과 야간관광 콘텐츠를 알리고, 체류형 관광지로서의 경쟁력을 홍보하는 계기가 됐다고 평가했다.

이남철 고령군수는 “이번 행사는 변화하는 관광 트렌드를 공유하고 지역 관광 활성화 방안을 모색하는 의미 있는 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 세계유산을 중심으로 다양한 체류형 관광 콘텐츠를 확대해 더 많은 관광객이 고령을 찾고 머물 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Additionally, at the Gyeongbuk Tourism Festa held at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul, the county introduced the charms of Goryeong tourism to residents of the metropolitan area and foreign tourists through events such as a roulette game and social media participation activities.

Goryeong County assessed that this event served as an opportunity to promote the region's historical and cultural resources and night tourism content, as well as to publicize its competitiveness as a destination for extended stays.
