군은 24일 신평면사무소 앞 주차장에서 ‘2026 대한민국 수산대전 찾아가는 직거래장터’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 해양수산부와 한국수산회가 주최하고, 한국수산업경영인중앙연합회와 전국수산물중도매인협회가 공동 주관한다. 수산물 유통시설 접근이 상대적으로 어려운 농촌 지역 주민들에게 우수한 국산 수산물을 직접 공급하기 위해 추진됐다.

행사장에서는 전국 수산물 산지 중도매인과 수산업경영인들이 참여해 다양한 수산물을 선보인다. 갈치와 굴비, 바다장어, 마른 멸치 등 소비자 선호도가 높은 품목을 중심으로 판매가 이뤄지며, 시중 가격보다 20% 이상 낮은 가격으로 구매할 수 있다.

장터는 이날 오전 10시부터 오후 4시까지 운영된다. 생산자와 소비자가 직접 만나는 직거래 방식으로 진행돼 신선한 수산물을 보다 합리적인 가격에 제공할 예정이다.

특히 행사 종료 후에는 남은 판매 물품 일부를 지역 내 복지시설과 취약계층에 전달할 계획으로, 단순한 판매 행사를 넘어 지역사회 나눔의 의미도 함께 담게 된다.

의성군은 이번 행사가 평소 수산물 구매 기회가 제한적이었던 면 단위 주민들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

김주수 의성군수는 “내륙 농촌지역 주민들이 우수한 국산 수산물을 보다 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 이번 행사를 마련했다”며 “앞으로도 주민들의 생활 만족도를 높이고 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 상생 프로그램을 적극적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Uiseong County Governor Kim Ju-su stated, "We organized this event to allow residents of inland rural areas easier access to high-quality domestic seafood," adding, "We will continue to actively discover various mutual growth programs that work together with the local community to improve residents' quality of life."
