군은 오는 6월 27일부터 7월 초까지 전국 여자야구 동호인들과 유소년 축구선수들이 참가하는 대규모 스포츠 행사를 연이어 개최한다고 밝혔다.

먼저 ‘2026 전국 여자야구대회’가 6월 27일부터 7월 5일까지 주말 4일간 죽변야구장 등 지역 내 2개 구장에서 열린다. 대한야구소프트볼협회가 주최하는 이번 대회에는 전국 23개 여자야구 동호인팀, 550여 명의 선수단이 참가해 토너먼트 방식으로 우승을 다툰다.

이번 대회는 여성 스포츠 참여 확대와 여자야구 저변 확대를 위한 생활체육 축제의 장으로 마련됐다. 전국 각지의 동호인들이 한자리에 모여 실력을 겨루고 교류하는 기회를 제공하는 것은 물론, 건전한 스포츠 문화 확산에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

이어 ‘2026 울진금강송배 전국 유소년클럽 축구대회’도 6월 27일부터 29일까지, 7월 4일부터 6일까지 두 차례에 걸쳐 백암다목적운동장 등 4개 구장에서 개최된다.

한국유소년축구클럽연맹이 주최하는 이번 대회에는 전국 116개 클럽팀, 선수단 및 임원 1,800여 명이 참가한다. 초등학교 1학년부터 6학년까지 학년별로 경기가 진행되며, 예선 리그와 본선 토너먼트를 통해 축구 꿈나무들의 열띤 경쟁이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
