한수원은 25일 한수원 방사선보건원에서 제1회 안전혁신 자문위원회를 개최하고 안전 분야 전문성을 갖춘 외부 인사들을 자문위원으로 위촉했다고 밝혔다.

안전혁신 자문위원회는 산업재해 예방과 중대재해 대응 역량을 높이고, 안전경영 정책 수립 과정에 외부 전문가의 의견을 반영하기 위해 마련됐다. 최근 산업현장의 안전 이슈가 다양해지고 관련 제도와 환경이 빠르게 변화하는 가운데 보다 체계적인 안전관리 방안을 마련하기 위한 취지다.

이번에 위촉된 자문위원은 학계와 산업계, 법조계 등 다양한 분야의 전문가 7명으로 구성됐다. 위원들은 앞으로 2년간 한수원의 안전 관련 주요 정책과 제도 개선 과제, 산업재해 예방 대책 등에 대해 자문 역할을 수행하게 된다.

이날 회의에서는 안전경영 추진 방향과 주요 현안이 공유됐으며, 산업 현장의 위험요인 관리와 안전문화 확산을 위한 다양한 의견이 논의됐다.

한수원은 향후 정기적인 자문위원회 운영을 통해 안전정책의 전문성과 객관성을 높이고, 현장의 의견을 반영한 실효성 있는 안전관리 체계를 구축해 나간다는 방침이다.

김회천 한수원 사장은 “안전은 조직 운영의 가장 중요한 가치”라며 “전문가들의 다양한 의견을 적극 수렴해 현장 중심의 안전관리 체계를 더욱 강화하고, 근로자가 안심하고 일할 수 있는 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

한편 한수원은 산업재해 예방과 안전문화 정착을 위한 다양한 제도 개선과 현장 안전관리 활동을 지속적으로 추진하고 있으며, 안전경영 체계 고도화를 위한 외부 협력도 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (President Kim Hoe-cheon) has launched a Safety Innovation Advisory Committee composed of external experts to strengthen its safety management system.

KHNP announced on the 25th that it held the first Safety Innovation Advisory Committee meeting at the KHNP Radiation Health Center and appointed external figures with expertise in the safety field as advisory committee members.

The Safety Innovation Advisory Committee was established to enhance capabilities for industrial accident prevention and response to serious accidents, and to reflect the opinions of external experts in the process of formulating safety management policies. The purpose is to devise more systematic safety management measures amidst the recent diversification of safety issues in industrial sites and the rapid changes in related systems and environments.

The newly appointed advisory committee consists of seven experts from diverse fields, including academia, industry, and the legal profession. For the next two years, the members will serve as advisors on KHNP's major safety policies, institutional improvement tasks, and industrial accident prevention measures.
