【브레이크뉴스 경산】진예솔 기자=경산시지역사회보장협의체(공공위원장 조현일, 민간위원장 정인숙)는 7일 경산시청에서 폭염에 취약한 독거노인, 장애인, 한부모 가정 등 245가구에 ‘2026년 기획사업 시원한 여름나기 지원사업’의 일환으로 여름나기 물품을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 경북사회복지공동모금회가 주관하는 기획사업으로, 갈수록 심해지는 폭염에 대응해 취약계층의 건강과 안전을 지키기 위해 추진됐다. 

지원 대상 가구는 경산시 15개 읍·면·동에서 자체적으로 선정한 이들과, 지역 복지기관 및 재가노인통합지원센터 등에서 추천 또는 선정한 가구까지 총 245가구다.

지원된 물품은 인견이불, 칩베개, 미숫가루, 유산균, 탁상용 선풍기, 모기 기피제, 건식 아이스타월 등 7종과, 폭염 예방수칙 안내문이다. 각 가구에는 읍·면·동 지역사회보장협의체와 백천종합사회복지관, 가족센터, 재가노인통합지원센터 등이 직접 방문해 물품을 전달하고, 대상자의 안부와 폭염 대응 요령도 함께 안내했다.

정인숙 민간위원장은 “연일 이어지는 무더위 속에서 이번 지원이 어려운 이웃들에게 작게나마 힘이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 민·관이 협력해 취약계층을 세심히 돌보고 필요한 지원을 지속하겠다”고 전했다.

이도형 경산부시장은 “기후변화로 폭염이 일상이 된 만큼, 취약계층에 대한 세심한 관심과 맞춤형 복지 지원이 더욱 중요해졌다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회보장협의체와 긴밀히 협력해 복지 사각지대 해소와 안전한 지역사회를 만드는데 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongsan City Community Social Security Council (Public Chairperson Jo Hyun-il; Private Chairperson Jeong In-sook) announced on the 7th that it delivered summer relief supplies to 245 households vulnerable to heatwaves, including the elderly living alone, people with disabilities, and single-parent families, at Gyeongsan City Hall as part of the ‘2026 Special Project: Cool Summer Support Project.’

This project is a special initiative organized by the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea and was launched to protect the health and safety of vulnerable groups in response to increasingly severe heatwaves.

The recipient households total 245, comprising those independently selected by the 15 Eup, Myeon, and Dong districts of Gyeongsan City, as well as those recommended or selected by local welfare agencies and the Integrated Support Center for the Elderly.

The donated items include seven types of products—rayon blankets, chip pillows, misutgaru (roasted grain powder drink), probiotics, desk fans, mosquito repellents, and dry ice towels—along with a guide on heatwave prevention guidelines. Representatives from the Eup, Myeon, and Dong Community Social Security Councils, Baekcheon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Family Center, and Home Care Integrated Support Center for the Elderly visited each household in person to deliver supplies, check on the recipients' well-being, and provide guidance on how to cope with the heatwave.

Private Committee Chairperson Jeong In-suk stated, "I hope this support will provide at least a small amount of strength to our neighbors in need amidst the continuous sweltering heat," adding, "We will continue to cooperate between the public and private sectors to carefully care for vulnerable groups and provide necessary support."

Gyeongsan Vice Mayor Lee Do-hyeong said, "As heatwaves have become a part of daily life due to climate change, meticulous attention and customized welfare support for vulnerable groups have become even more important," adding, "We will continue to work closely with the Community Social Security Council to eliminate welfare blind spots and strive to create a safe community."
