The Daegu Education Palgongsan Training Center has organized the "2026 Palgong Summer Forest Camp" for elementary school students and their families in the Daegu region to coincide with the summer vacation. The camp will take place in the natural surroundings of Palgongsan Mountain from August 8 to 9, with a total of 100 families eligible to participate.

The event is designed to allow families to cool off from the sweltering heat and strengthen family bonds while enjoying various experiential activities in the refreshing forest. The recruitment is for 100 families in total, with 50 families per session. Among these, 10 families from socially disadvantaged groups—such as families with disabilities, multicultural families, and large families—will be selected first. Registration for participation will be open from 9:00 AM on July 13 to 5:00 PM on July 16 via the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education's integrated reservation system.

The camp offers a variety of programs for the whole family to enjoy in nature, including outdoor water play, healing programs with forest guides, eco-friendly nature crafts, and family team-building games. Indoor alternative programs will also be provided in the event of inclement weather, such as rain.

Lee Ok-hee, Director of the Daegu Education Palgongsan Training Center, stated, "I hope this will be a time for families to communicate and create special memories together amidst the beautiful nature of Palgongsan Mountain," adding, "We will operate the camp safely and effectively so that all family members can recharge their bodies and minds."
