군은 지난 9일 하천·계곡 불법시설 정비 TF팀이 오천솔밭과 옥계계곡 일대를 찾아 자진 철거가 이뤄진 시설과 주변 정비 상황을 확인했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 앞서 운영한 '하천·계곡 내 불법시설 자진신고 기간'의 후속 조치로 마련됐다. 영덕군은 단속과 행정처분 중심의 기존 방식에서 벗어나 주민과 상인들을 대상으로 여러 차례 간담회를 열고 지속적인 협의를 이어가며 자발적인 철거를 유도해 왔다.

현장에서는 불법으로 설치됐던 평상과 컨테이너, 조립식 건축물 등의 철거 여부를 비롯해 철거 잔재물 처리 상태, 주변 환경 정비 상황 등을 중점적으로 확인했다.

점검 결과 그동안 하천 경관을 훼손해 온 주요 불법시설이 대부분 정리되면서 자연환경이 회복된 모습을 확인했으며, 본격적인 휴가철을 앞두고 방문객들이 안전하고 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있도록 시설과 환경 관리 상태도 함께 살폈다.

영덕군은 앞으로도 정기적인 순찰과 점검을 이어가 불법시설이 다시 설치되는 사례를 예방하는 한편, 이용객 편의를 높일 수 있는 친수공간 조성과 편의시설 확충도 단계적으로 추진할 계획이다.

At the site, the inspection focused on verifying the removal of illegally installed platforms, containers, and prefabricated structures, as well as the status of debris disposal and the cleanup of the surrounding environment.

The inspection confirmed that the natural environment has been restored as most major illegal facilities that had been damaging the river landscape have been removed. Additionally, the status of facility and environmental management was examined to ensure visitors can use the area safely and pleasantly ahead of the peak vacation season.

Yeongdeok County plans to continue regular patrols and inspections to prevent the reinstallation of illegal facilities, while also gradually implementing the creation of waterfront spaces and the expansion of amenities to enhance visitor convenience.
