울진군은 지난 13일 군청 대회의실에서 박형수 국회의원(의성·청송·영덕·울진)과 함께 '2027년도 국비지원 예산 정책협의회'를 열고 주요 국비 건의사업과 확보 전략을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

회의에는 황이주 울진군수를 비롯해 임승필 울진군의회 의장, 김재준 경북도의원, 군의원, 간부 공무원 등 40여 명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 당초 예정 시간을 크게 넘겨 약 2시간 30분 동안 지역 핵심사업의 추진 방향과 정부예산 반영 방안을 집중 논의했다.

군은 이번 협의회에서 울진 어린이복합문화센터 건립과 울진지역 하수관로 정비사업 등 주민 생활과 직결되는 사업은 물론 중부권 동서횡단철도와 남북 10축 고속도로 건설 등 광역 교통망 확충 사업의 필요성을 공유하고 국비 확보에 공동 대응하기로 했다.

아울러 민선 9기 주요 공약사업인 국도 36호선 4차선 확장, 청송IC~후포 고속도로 연결, 왕피천공원~망양정 교량 설치, 울진~서울 직통 KTX 개통, 후포~울릉 여객선 운항 재개 등도 중점 추진 과제로 제시됐다.

울진군은 2027년도 국비 건의사업으로 모두 25건을 발굴했다. 총사업비는 13조6,099억원 규모이며, 이 가운데 2027년도 국비 확보 목표액은 967억원이다.
