국립공원공단 주왕산국립공원사무소는 이달부터 절골계곡 일원에서 테마형 생태관광 프로그램인 '첨벙 트레킹'을 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.

이 프로그램은 계곡 물길을 따라 직접 걸으며 자연을 체험하는 방식으로 진행되는 것이 특징이다. 단순한 물놀이 형태가 아닌 국립공원 생태환경을 이해할 수 있도록 구성된 해설형 프로그램으로, 국립공원공단이 지정한 민간 탐방가이드인 국립공원 큐레이터가 동행해 절골계곡의 자연환경과 생태적 가치를 설명한다.

참가자들은 계곡을 따라 이동하며 주왕산의 생태와 지형적 특성을 배우는 동시에 자연을 훼손하지 않는 탐방 방법과 안전수칙도 함께 익히게 된다.

주왕산국립공원사무소는 계곡에서 진행되는 프로그램 특성을 고려해 안전관리에 중점을 두고 운영하고 있다. 참가자들에게는 사전 안전교육과 준비사항을 안내하고 있으며, 프로그램 진행 과정에는 전문 인력이 함께해 현장 안전을 관리한다.
