시는 21일부터 24일까지 구룡포읍을 비롯한 12개 읍·면 지역 벼 재배지 5,600㏊를 대상으로 1차 벼 병해충 공동 항공방제를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 방제에는 무인헬기 39대와 농업용 드론 16대 등 총 55대의 장비가 투입된다. 주요 방제 대상은 도열병, 잎집무늬마름병, 혹명나방 등 벼 생육 과정에서 피해를 줄 수 있는 병해충으로, 시는 적기 방제를 통해 농가 피해를 최소화한다는 계획이다.
