의성군은 지난 13일부터 16일까지 나흘간 의성종합체육관에서 ‘찾아가는 놀이터’를 운영해 지역 어린이집 원아들을 대상으로 모두 8차례의 놀이 프로그램을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 경상북도와 경북여성정책개발원이 주최하고 프리플레이버스가 주관하는 사업으로, 이동형 놀이공간을 군 지역에 직접 설치해 다양한 놀이 활동을 제공하는 방식으로 운영됐다. 의성군은 지난해에 이어 올해도 사업에 참여했다.

행사에는 지역 어린이집 6곳의 원아 130여 명이 참여했다. 아이들은 ▲업사이클링과 재활용을 주제로 한 놀이터 ▲드로잉 놀이터 ▲메이커 놀이터 ▲음악 놀이터 ▲움직이는 놀이터 등 다양한 체험 프로그램을 즐기며 창의력과 신체활동을 함께 경험했다.

참여 어린이들은 직접 악기를 연주하고 블록을 쌓거나 그림을 그리는 등 평소 접하기 어려웠던 놀이 콘텐츠를 체험하며 활기찬 시간을 보냈다.

의성군은 놀이시설이 부족한 농촌지역 아동들에게 다양한 놀이 기회를 제공함으로써 창의성과 사회성 발달을 지원하고, 지역 간 놀이문화 격차를 완화하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

최유철 의성군수는 “농촌에 사는 아이들도 지역 여건과 관계없이 다양한 놀이를 마음껏 경험할 수 있는 환경이 중요하다”며 “찾아가는 놀이터가 어린이들에게 즐거운 추억을 선사하고 건강한 성장과 사회성 발달에도 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Uiseong County announced that it conducted a total of eight play programs for children attending local daycare centers over four days, from the 13th to the 16th, by operating the ‘Visiting Playground’ at the Uiseong Sports Complex.

It was operated by directly installing mobile play spaces in the county to provide various play activities. Over 130 children from six local daycare centers participated in the event. The children enjoyed various experiential programs, including a playground themed around upcycling and recycling, a drawing playground, a maker playground, a music playground, and a mobile playground, experiencing both creativity and physical activity.

The participating children spent a lively time experiencing play activities they rarely have access to, such as playing musical instruments, stacking blocks, and drawing.

Uiseong County expects that providing diverse play opportunities to children in rural areas lacking play facilities will support the development of creativity and social skills, and help alleviate the gap in play culture between regions.
