【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교가 해외 간호대학생들과 응급상황 대응 시뮬레이션을 실시하며 글로벌 임상역량과 다학제 협업 능력 강화에 나섰다.

대구보건대에 따르면, 지난 21일 DHC글로컬러닝센터에서 재학생과 필리핀 리시움대학교, 사우스빌국제학교 간호학과 학생 등 51명이 ‘2026 글로벌 DHC-HEART 응급시뮬레이션 프로그램’에 참여했다.

이번 프로그램은 ‘여행자 응급상황(Save the Traveler!)’을 주제로, 실제 임상 현장을 반영한 시나리오 기반 교육으로 진행됐다. 참가 학생들은 환자 발견부터 응급처치, 후속 조치까지 단계별로 상황을 경험하며 대응 능력을 키웠다.

특히 ‘역할 순환형 테이블탑 시뮬레이션’을 도입해 간호사, 의료진, 임상 보조 인력 등 다양한 직군의 역할을 직접 수행했다. 이를 통해 각 분야의 업무를 이해하고, 의사소통과 협업 역량을 높이는 계기가 됐다.

또 국적이 다른 학생들이 한 팀을 이뤄 응급상황을 해결하는 방식으로 프로그램이 운영돼, 글로벌 의료환경에서 요구되는 협업 능력과 문제 해결 역량 강화에도 도움을 줬다는 평가다.

프로그램에 참여한 필리핀 사우스빌국제학교 3학년 캐서린 네세시토 학생은 “최첨단 시뮬레이션 환경에서 실습하며 전공 역량과 자신감을 높일 수 있었다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

대구보건대 간호학과 2학년 한경진 학생 역시 “다양한 보건의료 직종의 역할을 직접 경험하며 국가를 넘어 협업하는 방법을 배웠다”고 말했다.

대구보건대학교 관계자는 “다국적 학생들이 한 팀으로 협력한 이번 시뮬레이션은 글로벌 임상역량과 현장 대응 능력을 함께 키울 수 있는 교육이었다”며 “앞으로도 국제 교육 교류를 확대해 다학제 협업 기반의 실무 중심 교육을 꾸준히 강화할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Daegu Health College has set out to strengthen global clinical competence and multidisciplinary collaboration skills by conducting emergency response simulations with international nursing students.

According to Daegu Health College, 51 students—including current students, nursing students from Lyceum University in the Philippines, and Southville International School—participated in the ‘2026 Global DHC-HEART Emergency Simulation Program’ at the DHC Global Learning Center on the 21st.

Under the theme of ‘Traveler Emergency (Save the Traveler!)’, the program was conducted as scenario-based training reflecting actual clinical settings. Participating students developed their response capabilities by experiencing situations step-by-step, from patient discovery to first aid and follow-up measures.

In particular, the introduction of a ‘role-rotating tabletop simulation’ allowed students to directly assume the roles of various professional groups, including nurses, medical staff, and clinical support personnel. This served as an opportunity to understand the tasks of each field and enhance communication and collaboration skills.

Furthermore, the program was operated in a way that students of different nationalities formed teams to resolve emergency situations, which is evaluated as having helped strengthen the collaboration and problem-solving skills required in a global medical environment. Catherine Necessito, a third-year student at Southville International School in the Philippines who participated in the program, shared her thoughts, stating, “I was able to enhance my professional competence and confidence by practicing in a state-of-the-art simulation environment.”

Han Kyung-jin, a second-year nursing student at Daegu Health College, also remarked, “I learned how to collaborate across national borders while directly experiencing the roles of various healthcare professions.”

An official from Daegu Health College stated, “This simulation, in which multinational students collaborated as a team, was an educational experience that fostered both global clinical competence and on-site response capabilities,” adding, “We plan to continue expanding international educational exchanges to steadily strengthen practice-oriented education based on multidisciplinary collaboration.”
