【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교가 의료 접근성이 떨어지는 영덕군 농어촌 마을을 찾아가 한방진료와 건강상담을 진행했다. 이번 의료봉사는 의료서비스 이용이 어려운 주민들이 가까운 곳에서 진료를 받을 수 있도록 마련됐으며, 대학의 전문성과 지역사회 협력이 어우러진 사례로 주목받고 있다.

대구한의대와 영덕군 세대통합지원센터는 지난 16일부터 18일까지 영덕군 영해면 사진3리 마을회관에서 'K-MEDI 찾아가는 한의나눔사랑방' 3차 프로그램을 진행했다고 24일 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 농어촌 지역 주민들에게 한방 의료서비스를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

특히 17일과 18일에는 약 150명의 주민이 한방진료와 건강상담에 참여했다. 이번 봉사는 영해면사무소와 지역사회보장협의체의 지원을 받았고, 대구한의대 한의학과 노종성·최손환·서승교 교수의 지도 아래 학생 20명이 진료 보조와 상담을 도왔다.

의료진은 혈압 측정과 맥진 등을 통해 주민들의 건강 상태를 점검하고, 한방 처치와 개인 맞춤형 건강관리 상담도 함께 제공했다. 진료 결과는 기록해 향후 사후 건강관리에도 활용할 예정이다.

진료를 받은 주민들은 가까운 곳에서 의료서비스를 받게 되어 만족감을 표현했다. 지만수 영해면지역사회보장협의체 민간위원장은 “마을회관에서 편하게 진료를 받으니 만족도가 높았다”며 "지역에 꼭 맞는 의료봉사가 꾸준히 이어졌으면 한다"고 밝혔다.

김태훈 대구한의대 영덕군 세대통합지원센터장은 “대학의 한의학 전문성과 학생들의 봉사활동이 어우러져 의료 취약지역 주민들에게 큰 도움이 됐다”며 “앞으로도 찾아가는 한방진료를 확대해 지역 주민들의 건강 증진에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

The treatment results will be recorded and utilized for future follow-up health management.

Residents who received treatment expressed satisfaction at being able to receive medical services close to home. Ji Man-su, a private committee member of the Yeonghae-myeon Community Social Security Council, stated, "Satisfaction was high because we could receive treatment comfortably at the village hall," adding, "I hope that medical volunteer services tailored to the region will continue steadily."

Kim Tae-hoon, Director of the Yeongdeok-gun Intergenerational Integration Support Center at Daegu University of Oriental Medicine, said, "The combination of the university's expertise in traditional Korean medicine and the students' volunteer activities has been of great help to residents in medically underserved areas," and added, "We will continue to expand outreach traditional Korean medicine services to strive for the health promotion of local residents."
