【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 사회복지 현장 종사자들과 머리를 맞대고 노인복지 인프라 확충과 종사자 처우 개선, 통합돌봄 등 다양한 복지 현안에 대한 의견을 나눴다.

지난 23일 남대영기념관에서는 남구사회복지협의회가 주관한 ‘사회복지 현장과 함께 여는 남구의 미래-조재구 구청장과 함께하는 비전 토크 콘서트’가 열렸다. 이날 행사에는 사회복지 종사자와 협의회 회원기관 관계자 등 60여 명이 참석해 열띤 논의를 벌였다.

토크 콘서트는 사회복지 현장의 질문에 조재구 남구청장이 즉석에서 답변하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 참석자들은 노인복지 인프라 확대, 종사자 처우 개선, 초고령사회 대응, 통합돌봄 정책, 복지시설과 복지관의 역할 강화, 그리고 주민과의 소통 방안 등을 핵심 과제로 꼽았다.

조 구청장은 “인구 감소와 초고령사회에 대응하기 위해 무지개프로젝트와 청년정책을 통한 인구 유입, 그리고 정주여건 개선을 계속 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “통합돌봄과 보편적 복지 확대를 통해 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 복지서비스를 강화해 나가겠다”고 설명했다.

또한 캠프워크 반환부지 개발, 대구도서관 개관, 해넘이전망대와 하늘다리 조성 등 정주환경 개선 사업을 추진해 생활환경을 한층 개선하고, 체류형 관광도시 기반도 마련하겠다는 계획을 내놓았다.

이 자리에서 조 구청장은 사회복지 종사자 지원 확대 의지도 강조했다. 그는 “사회복지협의회 운영과 종사자 지원사업 예산 및 보조금 확대를 추진하겠다”며 “정책의 성공은 현장과의 소통에서 비롯된다. 앞으로도 현장의 다양한 의견을 정책에 적극 반영하겠다”고 약속했다.

At the meeting, District Head Jo also emphasized his commitment to expanding support for social welfare workers. He promised, “I will push for the operation of the Social Welfare Council and the expansion of the budget and subsidies for support projects for workers,” adding, “The success of policy stems from communication with the field. I will continue to actively reflect diverse opinions from the field in our policies.”
