영천여성새로일하기센터는 취업 여성들이 방학 중에도 안심하고 직장 생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 ‘2026년 직장맘 자녀 안심케어 지원사업’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 방학 기간 발생하는 초등학생 자녀 돌봄 공백을 해소하기 위한 취업 사후관리 프로그램으로, 초등학교 저학년 40여 명을 대상으로 진행된다.

참여 아동들은 지역 내 아파트 4개소에서 안전한 돌봄 환경을 제공받으며, 체험 중심의 교육 프로그램과 다양한 활동에 참여하게 된다. 영천시는 이를 통해 직장맘의 양육 부담을 완화하고 여성의 경력 단절 예방과 고용 유지에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.

특히 이번 사업은 단순한 돌봄 지원을 넘어 전문 강사진이 참여하는 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영해 자녀와 부모 모두가 만족할 수 있는 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.

또한 새일센터 구직 등록자를 우선 채용해 돌봄 분야 일자리 창출에도 나선다. 경력을 보유한 여성 등 지역 내 여성 인력을 돌봄 인력으로 연계하는 ‘돌봄-일자리 연계형’ 모델을 구축해 여성 경제활동 참여 확대에도 기여할 방침이다.

윤미선 영천여성새로일하기센터장은 “방학 기간은 직장맘들의 돌봄 부담이 커지는 시기인 만큼 안심케어 지원사업이 부모에게는 안정적인 근무 환경을, 자녀에게는 안전하고 즐거운 성장 기회를 제공하길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 여성의 지속적인 경제활동과 일·가정 양립을 지원할 수 있는 다양한 사업을 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
