【브레이크뉴스 경산】진예솔 기자=경산동의한방촌이 대구한의대학교와 함께 외국인 계절근로자와 유학생을 초청해 한국 전통 한방문화와 웰니스 프로그램을 운영했다. 이번 행사는 농촌 현장에서 일하는 외국인 근로자들의 고마움을 전하고, 해외 유학생에게는 우리 전통 치유문화를 알리는 특별한 자리였다.

경산동의한방촌(대구한의대·경산시 운영)은 22일 베트남 공공형 계절근로자와 태국 유학생을 대상으로 한방웰니스 문화체험 행사를 진행했다.

행사 오전에는 베트남 근로자 20여 명이 농협경산시지부의 협조로 경산 지역의 역사와 문화를 둘러보고, 한약재 족욕과 향낭 만들기 활동에 참여했다. 이들은 한국의 전통 치유문화를 직접 체험하며 농번기의 피로를 풀었다.

오후에는 영남대학교 한국어학당에 다니는 태국 대학생 20여 명이 김해인 지도교사의 인솔로 동의한방촌을 찾았다. 학생들은 한약재 족욕, 향낭 만들기는 물론 산소챔버 체험 등 다양한 프로그램에 참여하며 한방웰니스의 매력을 느꼈다.

참가자들은 “한국의 전통 한방문화를 직접 경험해 의미 있었다”며 “족욕과 향낭 만들기를 하면서 몸과 마음이 모두 편안해졌다”고 소감을 전했다.

최용구 경산동의한방촌장은 “농촌 일손을 돕는 계절근로자와 유학생들에게 힐링과 한국문화 체험 기회를 제공하게 되어 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로 동의한방촌을 경산의 대표 한방웰니스 관광지로 키우고, 내외국인 모두에게 수준 높은 콘텐츠를 선보이겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 경산동의한방촌은 한방웰니스 체험 프로그램 15가지를 운영하는 복합 한방문화 공간이다. 지역민과 관광객 모두를 대상으로 다양한 체험과 교육 프로그램을 이어가며 K-웰니스 확산에도 힘쓰고 있다.

They relieved the fatigue of the busy farming season by experiencing traditional Korean healing culture firsthand.

In the afternoon, about 20 Thai university students attending the Korean Language Institute at Yeungnam University visited Dongui Hanbang Village under the guidance of instructor Kim Hae-in. The students experienced the charms of herbal wellness by participating in various programs, including herbal foot baths, scented sachet making, and oxygen chamber experiences.

Participants shared their impressions, stating, “It was meaningful to experience Korea’s traditional herbal medicine culture firsthand,” and “Both my body and mind felt at ease while enjoying foot baths and making scented sachets.”

Choi Yong-gu, Director of Gyeongsan Dongui Herbal Medicine Village, stated, “It is significant to provide opportunities for healing and Korean culture experiences to seasonal workers and international students helping with farm labor,” adding, “Moving forward, we will develop Dongui Herbal Medicine Village into Gyeongsan’s representative herbal wellness tourism destination and present high-quality content to both domestic and international visitors.”

Meanwhile, Gyeongsan Dongui Herbal Medicine Village is a complex cultural space dedicated to herbal medicine that operates 15 different wellness experience programs. It continues to offer diverse experiential and educational programs for both local residents and tourists, striving to spread K-Wellness.
