【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구지역 5개 교육지원청이 여름방학을 맞아 특수교육 대상 학생과 학부모를 위한 맞춤형 계절학교 운영에 나섰다. 학생들은 체육·예술·코딩 등 체험 위주 프로그램에 참여하고, 학부모 대상 상담과 연수도 함께 이뤄진다. 방학 중 교육 공백을 줄이고 학생들의 사회성과 자립 역량을 키우는 취지다.

대구 동부·서부·남부·달성·군위교육지원청 특수교육지원센터는 지난 27일부터 오는 8월 14일까지 특수교육대상 학생과 학부모들을 대상으로 다양한 계절학교 프로그램을 진행한다고 30일 밝혔다.

이번 계절학교는 방학 중 학생들의 학습과 돌봄 공백을 최소화하고, 사회성 및 자립 역량을 높이기 위해 각 교육지원청별 특색에 맞춘 체험 중심 프로그램으로 마련됐다. 또 학부모의 양육 스트레스 해소와 정서 회복을 지원하는 상담 및 연수도 포함돼 있다.

동부교육지원청에서는 ‘꿈키움·행복채움 여름계절학교’라는 이름으로 학생 110명과 학부모 30명을 대상으로 뉴스포츠, 소품공예, 난타, 요리, 미술치료 등 다양한 활동이 진행된다. 명랑운동회와 학부모 소그룹 상담도 함께 운영된다.

서부교육지원청은 ‘꿈 키움 끼 자람’ 프로그램을 열어 유아와 초등 저학년 학생들은 생활요리, 미술창작 같은 오감 체험활동에, 고학년과 중학생들은 융합코딩과 진로탐색 프로그램에 각각 참여한다. 학부모들은 행동중재 실습과 힐링 연수에 함께하며 자녀 양육에 실질적 도움을 받는다.

남부교육지원청에서는 8월 3일부터 14일까지 체육·공예·댄스·요리 등 실습 위주로 꾸려진 계절학교와 함께 해금·퓨전국악 공연, 마술공연 등 문화예술 프로그램도 펼친다. 학부모 대상 부모교육 프로그램도 준비돼 있다.

달성교육지원청은 학생 48명, 학부모 49명을 대상으로 드론과 코딩, 보드게임, 방송댄스, 원예 활동 등 다양한 신체 및 창의 활동을 진행한다. 가족 참여형 매직버블쇼와 공동운동회도 큰 호응을 얻을 전망이다.

군위교육지원청은 학생 15명을 대상으로 또래 멘토링, 감각·미술·음악치료, 드론 체험 등 각 학생의 흥미와 발달 수준에 맞는 맞춤형 교육과정을 구성했다.

대구시교육청은 “계절학교 운영을 통해 학생들에겐 발달특성과 흥미를 반영한 교육 경험을, 학부모에겐 실질적 지원을 제공함으로써 방학 중 교육 및 돌봄 공백을 효과적으로 줄일 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

또 교육지원청 관계자는 “맞춤형 프로그램과 학부모 지원을 함께하며 학생의 성장과 가족이 안심할 수 있는 환경을 만들겠다”며 “앞으로도 특수교육대상 학생들이 소외되지 않도록 다양한 프로그램을 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

Parent education programs for parents are also prepared.

The Dalseong Office of Education is conducting various physical and creative activities, including drones, coding, board games, broadcast dance, and gardening, for 48 students and 49 parents. A family-participation magic bubble show and a joint sports day are also expected to receive a great response.

The Gunwi Office of Education has organized a customized curriculum for 15 students, tailored to each student's interests and developmental levels, including peer mentoring, sensory, art, and music therapy, and drone experiences.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "We expect that operating seasonal schools will effectively reduce the gap in education and care during vacations by providing students with educational experiences that reflect their developmental characteristics and interests, and offering practical support to parents."

An official from the Office of Education added, "We will create an environment where students can grow and families can feel secure by combining customized programs with parental support," and stated, "We plan to continue expanding various programs to ensure that students with special educational needs are not marginalized."
