청송군은 농촌 정주여건 개선과 청년 주거 지원, 관광 활성화, 스포츠 인프라 확충 등 다양한 분야에서 국비를 확보하며 지방소멸 대응 전략을 본격 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.

올해 선정된 주요 사업은 농림축산식품부의 농어촌 기본소득 시범사업과 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업을 비롯해 국토교통부의 특화 공공임대주택 조성사업, 지역수요맞춤지원사업, 문화체육관광부의 국제경기대회 지원사업 등이다.

가장 주목받는 사업은 농어촌 기본소득 시범사업이다. 청송군은 지난해 고배를 마신 뒤 재도전에 나서 경상권에서는 유일하게 사업 대상지로 선정됐다. 군은 내년 말까지 총 876억 원을 투입해 군민에게 월 20만 원 상당의 기본소득을 지역화폐인 청송사랑카드로 지급하고, 지역 소비와 공동체 활동을 연계해 지역경제 선순환 체계를 구축한다는 계획이다.

생활환경 개선 사업도 본격화된다. 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업에는 파천면 신기1리와 안덕면 지소리가 선정돼 총 48억 원의 사업비를 확보했다. 신기1리는 산불 피해 이후 생활기반 복구와 공동체 회복에 초점을 맞추고, 지소리는 노후 주택 정비와 기반시설 개선 등을 통해 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 생활환경을 조성할 예정이다.

청년과 근로자의 정착 기반 마련도 추진된다. 국토교통부 특화 공공임대주택 공모사업 선정으로 안덕면 명당리 일원에는 청년과 근로자를 위한 공공임대주택 50호가 들어선다. 총사업비는 150억 원 규모로, 이 가운데 75억 원은 국비로 지원된다.

지역 관광 경쟁력 강화 사업도 속도를 낸다. 국토교통부 지역수요맞춤지원사업으로 선정된 '일상이 흐르고 사람이 머무는 신촌약수마을' 사업에는 총 35억 원이 투입된다. 군은 진보면 신촌약수탕 일원을 중심으로 약수와 꽃돌, 야송미술관 등 지역 자원을 연계한 체류형 관광 기반을 조성하고 보행환경과 주민 편의시설도 함께 개선할 계획이다.

국제 스포츠 행사 유치 성과도 이어졌다. 청송군은 문화체육관광부 국제경기대회 지원사업에 선정돼 '2027 UIAA 청송 아이스클라이밍 월드컵' 개최를 위한 국비 2억4천800만 원을 확보했다. 이를 통해 국제 산악스포츠 도시로서의 인지도를 높이고 스포츠 관광 활성화와 지역경제 파급효과를 기대하고 있다.

Projects to strengthen regional tourism competitiveness are also gaining momentum.
