경북교육청은 2일부터 11일까지 경북글로벌교류단을 중심으로 미국과 베트남 지역 해외 한국어 채택교 교사를 대상으로 현지 연수를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 경북교육청이 LA한국교육원, 호치민시한국교육원과 협력해 추진하는 국제교육 교류사업의 일환이다. 해외 학교에서 한국어를 가르치는 교사들의 수업 전문성을 높이고, 한국어와 한국문화에 대한 이해를 확대하기 위해 마련됐다.

미국 연수는 2일부터 9일까지 5박 8일 일정으로 진행되며, 경북지역 교사 7명과 학생 20명이 참여한다. 참가자들은 LA한국교육원을 중심으로 해외 한국어 채택교 교사를 위한 한국어 교수·학습 역량 강화 프로그램에 참여한다.

학생들은 한국문화 동아리 공연 등을 통해 현지에 한국문화를 알리는 활동도 펼친다. 아울러 스탠퍼드대학교와 UC버클리를 방문해 한국인 재학생들과 진로 멘토링을 진행하고, 구글과 애플 등 글로벌 기업을 찾아 미래 직업 세계와 기업 문화를 체험하는 시간도 갖는다.

베트남 연수는 6일부터 11일까지 5박 6일 일정으로 다낭시 듀이떤대학교에서 열린다. 경북지역 교사 7명과 학생 22명이 참여하며, 해외 한국어 채택교 교사를 대상으로 한국어 교수법 연수와 한국문화 체험 프로그램 등을 운영한다.

경북교육청은 이번 연수를 통해 해외 현지 교사의 한국어 교육 역량을 강화하는 동시에, 참가 학생들에게 국제적 시야와 글로벌 소통 능력을 키울 수 있는 기회를 제공할 계획이다.

임종식 경북교육감은 “이번 연수가 해외에서 한국어와 한국문화를 알리는 교사들의 전문성을 높이고 현지 학생들의 한국어 학습과 문화 이해를 넓히는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 해외 한국어 채택교와의 교류를 확대해 한국어 교육 기반을 강화하고 학생들이 세계 무대에서 성장할 수 있도록 국제교육 협력을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education announced that it will operate local training for teachers of overseas Korean language schools in the US and Vietnam from the 2nd to the 11th, led by the Gyeongbuk Global Exchange Group.

This program is part of an international education exchange project promoted by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education in cooperation with the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles and the Korean Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The training in the US will take place from the 2nd to the 9th, a 5-night, 8-day schedule, with 7 teachers and 20 students from the Gyeongbuk region participating. Participants will engage in a program to strengthen Korean language teaching and learning capabilities for teachers at overseas Korean language schools, centered around the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles.

Students will also carry out activities to promote Korean culture locally, such as through performances by Korean culture clubs. In addition, the group will visit Stanford University and UC Berkeley to conduct career mentoring with Korean students, and visit global companies such as Google and Apple to experience the future world of work and corporate culture.

The training program in Vietnam will be held at Duy Tan University in Da Nang from the 6th to the 11th, a 5-night, 6-day schedule. Seven teachers and 22 students from the Gyeongbuk region are participating, and the program will offer Korean language teaching method training and Korean culture experience programs for teachers at overseas Korean language schools.

Through this training, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to strengthen the Korean language teaching capabilities of local overseas teachers while providing participating students with an opportunity to cultivate a global perspective and global communication skills.

Gyeongbuk Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik stated, "I hope this training serves as an opportunity to enhance the professionalism of teachers promoting the Korean language and culture abroad, and to broaden local students' Korean language learning and cultural understanding." He added, "We will continue to expand exchanges with overseas Korean language schools to strengthen the foundation of Korean language education and pursue international education cooperation so that students can grow on the world stage."
