시는 미세먼지 저감과 온실가스 감축을 위한 이번 사업의 신청을 오는 8월 5일부터 28일까지 받는다고 밝혔다.
신청은 자동차배출가스 종합전산시스템을 통한 온라인 접수 또는 한국자동차환경협회로 등기우편을 보내는 방식으로 가능하다.
올해 하반기 사업에는 총 8억9천200만 원의 예산이 투입되며, 모두 482대를 지원할 계획이다.
지원 대상은 신청일 기준 차량을 6개월 이상 보유하고, 영천시에 6개월 이상 등록된 차량이다. 대상 차량은 배출가스 5등급 자동차와 4등급 경유차를 비롯해 도로용 3종 건설기계, 2003년 12월 31일 이전 배출허용기준이 적용돼 제작된 지게차와 굴착기 등이다.
지원금은 차량 종류와 연식, 배출가스 등급 등에 따라 조기폐차 대상 차량 기준가액의 70~100% 범위에서 차등 지급된다. 또한 소상공인이나 차량을 추가로 구매하는 경우에는 관련 기준에 따라 추가 보조금도 지원할 예정이다.
영천시는 배출가스 5등급 자동차(건설기계 제외)에 대한 조기폐차 지원사업이 올해를 끝으로 종료되는 만큼 대상 차량 소유자들의 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.
