군에 따르면 2025년 12월 말 기준 청도에 정착한 귀농인은 98명, 귀촌인은 1,232명에 달한다.
청도군은 2021년부터 귀농귀촌종합지원센터를 민간에 위탁해 운영하며, 도시민의 유입부터 정착까지 단계별로 지원하고 있다.
예비 귀농·귀촌인을 대상으로 협업농장 프로그램인 ‘설레밭’, 단기 체류 프로그램 ‘청도미리’, 숙박비를 지원하는 ‘설레집’ 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영해 청도에서 실제 생활과 영농을 체험할 수 있게 돕고 있다. 또, 작물 재배 지도를 제공하는 ‘방방곡곡’ 등 영농 관련 프로그램도 마련했다.
주거 지원도 확대 중이다. 노후 빈집을 리모델링해 월 1만원에 임대하는 ‘만원주택’과 함께 ‘귀농인의 집’ 3채도 운영하고 있다. 귀농인의 집은 2021년 2채, 2023년 1채가 마련됐으며, 지금까지 13가구가 이용했다.
초기 생활비 부담을 덜기 위한 금전적 지원도 시행된다. ‘귀농인 희망정착지원금’을 통해 2인 가구에는 월 40만원, 3인 이상 가구에는 월 50만원을 최대 60개월까지 지원한다. 2023년부터 2026년까지 누적 57가구가 지원 대상으로 선정됐고, 올해 예산은 3억 1,200만원이 편성됐다.
청년농업인을 위한 지원도 이어진다. 영농정착 바우처를 통해 1년차는 월 110만원, 2년차는 월 100만원, 3년차는 월 90만원을 지원하고, 올해 예산은 12억 6,190만원이다. 지원 대상은 63명이다.
또, 청년농업인의 농지 임대차 계약 시 임대료의 50%를 지원해 농지 확보에 대한 부담도 완화하고 있다.
이밖에도 농어촌진흥기금 융자, 영농아카데미, 농산물 가공창업 교육, 중장비 교육, 귀농닥터 멘토링 등 금융·교육·현장 지원을 연계해 초기 정착에 필요한 전방위 지원을 펼치고 있다.
청도군은 앞으로도 귀농·귀촌인의 안정적인 정착은 물론 기존 주민과의 지역 융화에 중점을 두고 관련 정책을 이어갈 방침이다.
박권현 청도군수는 “귀농·귀촌은 청도의 미래를 함께 만들어가는 중요한 변화”라며, “청도를 선택한 분들이 안정적으로 정착해 지역의 소중한 일원이 될 수 있도록 현실적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

In addition, the county is alleviating the burden of securing farmland by subsidizing 50% of the rent for young farmers entering into farmland lease contracts.
Furthermore, it is providing comprehensive support necessary for initial settlement by linking financial, educational, and on-site assistance, including loans from the Rural Development Fund, the Farming Academy, training for agricultural product processing startups, heavy equipment training, and "Returning to Farming Doctor" mentoring.
Cheongdo County plans to continue implementing related policies that focus not only on the stable settlement of those returning to farming or rural life but also on harmonizing them with existing residents.
